Fortnite is entirely free to play, whereas PUBG charges a fee for its game. This is why millions of players have joined the game's popularity and will continue doing so. This many players means that teams and communities will form around this game due to shared interests, and they have.

Fortnite Discord Servers and Their Rules

Scrims



Scrim is short for scrimmage, or a match without real consequences. This is the best place to practice fighting and learn new strategies.



Scrims are available in all game modes: solo, duos, and teams. Pro Fortnite players tend to group up and scrim against one another instead of playing against randoms, as regular players don't prove to be much of a challenge at all. Fortnite does not have any matchmaking system that can help with this.



Scrim servers will usually have players enter their kill/death ratio before joining. This is just to ensure players are at a similar skill level. You don't have to worry, though, because there are servers that allow anyone in. This is great for those who are still learning the game.



Big Discord servers are given private keys to scrim in their own servers, making it much easier for players to do what they'd like without getting involved with randoms.



Snipes



A snipe is similar to a scrim. I mentioned above that some big Fortnite Discord servers are given private server keys to exist in their own instance of the world. Those who aren't granted private keys are forced to join the matchmaking system. However, players can still compete against one another if they want to do so. They do this by sniping.



Not by shooting at others with a rifle sniper. Sniping is when a giant group of Fortnite players all join a "countdown" channel in their Discord, and everyone in the group presses "Go" at the exact same time within the game. Then they will all start matchmaking, and hopefully end up on the same server. Although this is not a guarantee, sniping can be a great way for groups of players trying to get into the same game.



Sometimes, pros will do this too so they can all compete in a big map.

This Discord server houses Xbox and PlayStation gamers from any of the three regions. You don't have to be a professional player to join the Discord server. Anyone can join. That said, there is no home for PC players here. This one is only for console players.

The YoGaming Discord server already has over 8,000 people in it. This space supports all three platforms as well as all three regions. There are no minimum requirements. Anyone can get on board and take part in scrims.
