I'm not a DJ. I listen. That's what I've always been telling myself. When I was in high school and college I attempted DJing. I couldn't duplicate what I had seen elsewhere. To be honest, I could not think of or even make use of my ears to be a professional DJ. I would skip beats and I would change to 7th instead of 8th. This made my DJ career seem impossible. But I'm a listener. I can easily tell if an DJ has a problem with a beat, I can clearly understand where they make mistakes however I can't with my own mind do what they do , which is to entertain people none-stop for hours..
Yet if you are trying to be a DJ, I shouldn't discourage you. You shouldn't let my story stop you from making your plans. Take what you like to do, and be what you like to be, - is my way of life. Be yourself and do what you want to be. DJs can be so stubbornand require constant encouragement to keep their eyes on reality. It is important to show them what is happening around them. Because Youtube music should not be transformed into mp3 by aspiring DJs, it is not just because it not permitted under their TOS, but also because of the poor quality of the sound. The audio quality of any music video or other video, is limited to 128kbps. M4A containers can deliver 160kbps. I hope these numbers don't make you confused. If you're a DJ, or computer audio enthusiast like me, you'll be aware that mp3 may contain as much as 325kbps of sound quality. It sounds good but is mostly cut off audio. MP3 compresses the sound by cutting out the highest and most important frequencies. So the final sound is incomplete.. The most deep house music you can find doesn't sound very rich when played at the rate of 320kbps. In comparison to playing it with an mp3 vynil the sound quality is better than crystal glasses.
New DJs should not spend time (and maybe even money) in cheap versions of the most popular songs. To get access to an entire library of high quality audio that can be remixed or mix-ups, it's an excellent idea to join with Juno Download, Fruity Loops, or Beatport. y2 download If you add super bass to lower quality mp3, it will still sound awesome, thanks to the deep bass line. This is exactly what mp3 sound misses, great bass.
Knowing this, however, isn't enough to put a DJ at ease. Make sure to upgrade your sound each day. That's what makes great artists and entertainers. It is essential to invest in your tools to ensure the highest quality results, best-sounding live sets, a club dancing spirit, and most importantly the best time for young people. Because they'll come back if you keep them dancing to the best beats. It's the law.
