Ties are broken based on their rank. While a royal flush of tied royals is rare, it can happen. From lowest to highest, the rank of suits is clubs, diamonds and hearts. The royal flush with the highest suit rank wins. The winner of a straight flush is determined by the highest straight, or suit, if needed.
