GERUND
- admit : to agree that you did something bad, or that something bad is true itiraf etmek
[ + doing sth ] Both men admitted taking illegal drugs.

- avoid : to intentionally not do something - bir şeyi yapmaktan kaçınmak, göz ardı etmek, ihmal etmek, uzak durmak
She managed to avoid answering my question.

- deny : to say that something is not true, especially something that you are accused of
inkâr etmek
She denies any involvement in the attack.
[ + (that) ] He never denied that he said those things.
[ + doing sth ] He denies murdering his father

- recommend : to say that someone or something is good or suitable for a particular purpose
tavsiye etmek, önermek, salık vermek

INFINITIVE VERBS

- afford to do sth : to have enough money to buy something or enough time to do something
altından kalkabilmek, üstesinden gelebilmek, alabilmek
I can't afford a new computer.
[ + to do sth ] Can we afford to go away?

- agree to do sth : to say you will do something that someone asks you to do
birinin istediği şeyi yapacağını söylemek, kabul etmek, tamam demek
[ + to do sth ] She agreed to help him.

- decide t do sth : to choose something after thinking about several possibilities
karara vermek, kararlaştırmak
[ + question word ] I haven't decided whether or not to tell him.
[ + to do sth ] She's decided to take the job.

- expect to do sth : to think that something will happen
ummak, beklemek
[ + to do sth ] He didn't expect to see me.

- offer to do sth : to say that you are willing to do something
önermek, teklif etmek
[ + to do sth ] He offered to get me a cab.

- pretend to do sth : to try to make it appear (that something is true), in order to deceive
… gibi görünmek
He pretended that he had a headache.
She was only pretending to be asleep.
I pretended not to understand.

- refuse to do sth : to say that you will not do or accept something
reddetmek, kabul etmemek, geri çevirmek
I asked him to leave but he refused.
[ + to do sth ] Cathy refuses to admit that she was wrong.

- seem to do sth / pretend to do sth : to have the appearance or give the impression of being or doing
(gibi) görünmek
A thin person always seems (to be) taller than he really is.
She seems kind.
He seemed to hesitate for a minute.

REMEMBER TO SO STH (There are sth which you have to do / had to do)
I remembered to submit (send) my homework.

REMEMBER DOING STH (remember what you did in the past)
I remembered submitting my homework. -- I did my homework and submitted it and then I remembered doing.)

FORGET TO DO STH VS. FORGET DOING STH
FORGET TO DO STH (Forget the actions which you have to do / had to do)
I forgot to send my homework. (I didn't send it.)

FORGET DOING STH (You did sth in the past and you forget that you did it)
I forgot sending my homework. (İ did my homework and sent it. But I forgot my action.)

STOP TO DO STH VS. STOP DOING STH
STOP TO DO STH (You are doing sth and give up doing to in order to do another one.)
I had been driving to İstanbul for 2 hours and I stopped to have a break and to drink coffee.

STOP DOING STH ( QUIT doing sth or GIVE UP doing sth)
Drinking too much coffee is unhealthy and makes it diffucult to lose weight. So I have stopped drinking cofeee.

SEE SB DO STH VS. SEE SB DOINF STH
SEE SB DO STH (You see sb's actions from beginning to end.)
I saw Jane have an accident. (It means that I saw Jaen got on the car, start driving and hit a tree.)
SEE SB DOING STH (You see only a part of an action)
I saw Jane having accident. (I saaw only she hit the car.)
