The Unidad Obrera
The preparations for the Unidad Obrera union meeting in the early 1960s drew the interest of numerous organizations in Latin America and abroad. These efforts included meetings in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. These meetings forged a pact to formally join the union, despite dogmatic differences. The CSLA ratified the pact and it was soon clear that the continental union would not be postponed.

In its manifesto, the OIT emphasized the importance of unity in the ranks of the working class, which includes class independence, solidarity, and unionism. In addition, the OIT adopted 49 conventions regarding workweek duration, forced rest, the protection of women and children, industrial hygiene, and minimum wages. In addition, the party aims to strengthen the role of the working class in the political system. It is important to note that the OIT is the only union in Latin America to have a socialist vision.

The United States and Chile have both expressed their support for the concept of the Unidad Obrera. President Franklin D. Roosevelt has even authorized the Mexican dirigente to go to the United States. The UOC's goal is to mobilize the poor and campesinos in a mass movement and expand it internationally. And since the OOC is a democratic socialist movement, its goals include democratization and international relations.

The Unidad Obrera was formed when President Franklin D. Roosevelt approved the idea of a pact between the two worlds. The Congreso Obrero Latinoamerican (COPOL) was convened in Chile. This was supposed to consolidate the pact, which had been made in the 1930s. That was the first step towards the creation of a socialist country. Its objectives and principles were the same as the objectives of the Mexican dirigente.

In addition to the unification of the ranks, the Unidad Obrera has a common minimum program for international relations. This is important because the United States is a globalist nation and has the greatest power to change the world. The United States has been a leader in the class struggle, but the working class has not yet embraced it. The US government is not interested in working class issues. It is a bourgeois society, and it is ruled by capital.

It was an anti-imperialist movement. The Mexican dirigente had to travel to America to negotiate with the employers. The United States' president did not approve of the meeting. In addition, a pact between the obreras and the abolitionist movement was born. During the 1950s, the unification of Latin America had already been achieved. The revolutionary movement had spread to other parts of the world, and today it is the main force behind the revolution in that continent.

The first unionist congress took place on 8 September 1938. A delegate from a union in Mexico, a labor organization from Mexico, and FSI supported it. On 15 September, the delegates elected the Confederation of Workers of Latin America. This organization was founded by Vicente Lombardo Toledano. Eventually, the FSI voted to support the formation of the party.

Besides the pact for the unidad obrera, the pact has also a latinoamerican context. The obreras in the latinoamerican pact had been formed to promote unity among the obrera class in the United States. A new Congreso Obrera was formed in 1939, but the obreras could not sign it.

The First conference of the American workers in January 1936 was organized by obreros in Mexico. It was led by Vicente Lombardo toledano and CSLA. In the same year, the obreros seized a local factory. The struggle for democratization was widespread, and the confederation was based on the principles of unity, solidarity, and class independency. It also fought against the U.S.-Mexico-U.S. alliance.

However, the party of the obrera's ranks has yet to achieve unity. The alien elements that are a part of the party have no chance to influence it. The task of forming a revolutionary proletariat can only be achieved by forming a workers vanguard. In this way, the class struggle between the capitalists and the obreras is a global one.
