How To Set Up A Minecraft Server LAN

You can share the worlds you create with other player on your network in real-time -- "Minecraft" includes the option to open your game to your local area network. To access your world, players don't need to log in to your LAN. However, software such as LogMeIn Hamachi and Comodo Unite allows you to create virtual networks with anyone in the world. These virtual LANs are similar to physical networks in "Minecraft". To host a LAN gaming session in Minecraft, connect other players and configure the game to allow others.

Virtual LAN

Download, install, and open LogMeIn Hamachi or Comodo Unite (links in Resources).

Click the power button and then click "Create in Hamachi." Click "Register a new account" for Comodo Unite. Fill out the form and click "Register." To create a Wippien account, fill in the form that appears after you open the program.

Click "Create New Networks" in Hamachi. For Comodo Unite, click "Sign Me In," select "Networks" from the menu bar, and then click "Create a New Network." Wippien: Click the "+” symbol on the toolbar. Then click "Add/RemoveContacts."

Enter a network password and network name, then click "Create" Hamachi. Enter a network name, password, and check "Enable VPN" before clicking "Create." Enter the Jabber ID and password for Wippien. Click "Add Contact" and then "OK."

To allow players to connect with the virtual LAN, you must give your JabberID (or the virtual network names and password) to them.

Physical LAN

To open the Networks pane in Desktop mode, click on the signal bar located on the taskbar.

Click on "Connect" and choose your wireless network from the drop-down menu.

Enter your security key, if applicable, and then click "Connect" again to sign the computer on to the LAN.

Server Setup

Open "Minecraft", click "Singleplayer" at the main screen, then click "Create New World".

Enter a name for your world in the World Name field and click "Game Mode Survival" to change the game to Survival, Hardcore, or Creative.
How to crossplay minecraft
