Chris Oyakhilome Biography: The Man, The Mentor, The Teacher and The Philanthropist

Pastor, faith heaver, TV host and author Chris Oyakhilome. As well as his followers, Pastor Chris is the founder/president of LoveWorld Incorporated. His unique and inspiring telling of God's Word has inspired millions of people around the world.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is a Nigerian Christian who was born in December 63 in Edo State. He was nurtured by his parents who were devoted to him. He was the oldest of four children born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina, and the mother of the Oyakhilome family who imprinted her faith in God's grace upon her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is actively supported by all members of the family. Reverend Ken is his brother and is the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church. He is also a member the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director for the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry which houses a number of top gospel artists.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon follows in in her father's tradition of sharing God's Word with the World. As well as being known by CSO, she has been an accomplished, award-winning gospel musician and is a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome studied at Edo College. He then won an award to study architecture at Bendel State University. He is also the recipient of an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the location where he sensed God calling him to become an ordained minister to the Lord.

The Man Of God was in the University of Cambridge when he started the church that would eventually grow to become one of largest worldwide. His prayer group, called 'Youth for Christ,' would soon be one of the university's most popular groups. The group would later to create LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.

Pastor Chris directed the LoveWorld ministry to become the pioneer of satellite television and Christian production and programming on television. LoveWorldSAT broadcast the first Christian television station that reaches from Africa across the world, throughout the day, via free-to-air networks. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations across the globe.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The church has two healing schools that are located in South Africa.

Music and Gospel Music are an important element of worship. Pastor Chris is adamant Christ Embassy Churches that a choir be trained by Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. A lot of these singing talent go on to enjoy successful solo careers under the direction of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

The Future African Leaders Foundation (FALF) is an organization that is focused on the ongoing work of Pastor Chris. It is aimed at identifying and developing young, gifted leaders, and preparing them for an exciting future by acknowledging the achievements of these young leaders and encouraging them to continue. Pastor Chris invests in youth today, to prepare them to be the future leaders.

His most well-known publication is Rhapsody of Realities the daily devotional prayer study guide that gives insightful insights into the powerful Word of God. Rhapsody of Realities, which has been translated into a variety of languages and distributed to millions of readers, is now in its second edition.

A passionate philanthropist Pastor Chris Oyakhilome established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI) which is Non-profit, non-governmental, non-profit organization that was founded to assist those who are most vulnerable and communities in the most deprived regions and countries around the globe.

Alongside proclaiming the gospel, the Man of God also founded a number of NGOs that have the mission of providing vital services and hope to those who are poor, in need or neglected. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome COFI is supported by five partners, each of whom is committed to improving living standards in the remotest regions.

Each of these organisations strives to improve wellbeing, health and spirits of those who are most vulnerable.

His charity also provides financial aid to children who are in poverty. Pastor Chris is a firm believer in the importance of solid communities through COFI, The InnerCity Mission and the advancement of responsible governance, accountable leadership, and sustainable development in Africa and other vulnerable regions of the world according to the Sustainable Development Goals.
