Chris Oyakhilome Biography: The Man, The Mentor, The Teacher and The Philanthropist

Pastor and faith healer, writer, and TV host, Chris Oyakhilome is known to his fans as Pastor Chris, is the founder and president of LoveWorld Incorporated, also called Christ Embassy, which is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. His unique and inspirational telling of God's Word has enthralled millions all over the world.

Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December th, 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family of faith, surrounded by loving and devoted parents. He was the oldest of four children born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina, and the mother of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her divine grace on her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry includes the entire family. His brother, Reverend Ken is the highly regarded Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), which houses a variety of global best-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon follows in her father's tradition of sharing God's Word with the World. As well as being known by CSO her name, she is an award-winning, talented gospel musician and is a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

He also holds an honorary doctorate degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the place where he felt God called him to be a minister to the Lord.

The Man Of God was an undergraduate student at the time he founded the church which would grow to be one of largest in the world. These would go on to become LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.

Under the leadership of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LoveWorldSAT broadcast the first Christian television station that reaches from Africa to the rest, 24/7 via free-toair networks. There are LoveWorld television stations on satellite and cable networks across the globe.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria as well as South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church has two healing schools, which are based in South Africa.

Music and Gospel Music form an integral element of worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry trained choirs. Many of these singers can develop into successful solo artists through Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's spirit and guidance.

The Man, God, has founded NGOs with the mission to provide vital services and hope. Five partners make up COFI which works together to raise living standards in the poorest regions.
