Chris: The Pastor Chris"The" Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7, 1963 in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a faith-filled family with loving, dedicated parents. He is the father of Elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the pioneers in the Assemblies to God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. Her divine grace was passed down to her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a joint effort of the family. Reverend Ken is his brother and the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church. He is also a member the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry which is home several top-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon, also known by CSO, has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her father, sharing the Word of God the world. She is a gifted gospel singer who has won awards and is part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies in Edo College. After a scholarship was awarded to study the field of architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University), he received the BSc degree in Architecture, and an honorary Doctor of Science. He holds an honorary degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He received his calling from God to enter the ministry and to serve the Lord.

Pastor Chris: The Mentor
The Man Of God was a student at University when he founded the church which would eventually grow to become one of largest worldwide. His prayer group, called 'Youth for Christ,' would soon become one of the campus' most well-known groups. They would later go on to form LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.

Under the direction of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LOVEWORLDSAT was the first Christian television station broadcasting from Africa throughout the day on free-to air channels. In the present, LoveWorld television stations are accessible on satellite and cable networks around the world.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria in addition to South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church has two Healing Schools located in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris organizes sessions during the season that allow miracles to take place.

A passionate philanthropist Pastor Chris Oyakhilome founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI) COFI, a non-profit, non-governmental organization with the aim of helping those who are most vulnerable as well as communities in the poorest countries and regions in the world.
