Chris Oyakhilome Biography: The Man, The Mentor, The Teacher and The Philanthropist

Pastor Author, pastor, faith-healer, and television presenter Chris Oyakhilome (also called Pastor Chris) is the creator of LoveWorld Incorporated. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome The company, which is also known as Christ Embassy is located in Lagos, Nigeria. His unique method of interpreting God's Word has inspired thousands of people around the world.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith who was raised by a loving family and was supported by his parents. He is the oldest son of elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. She was a pioneer of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City and a matriarch of the Oyakhilome families, who passed her divine grace onto her son at an early stage.

The whole family is actively engaged in the LoveWorld ministry. Reverend Ken is his brother. He is the beloved minister of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM) which is where several gospel artists are among the top-selling artists worldwide.

Pastor Chris has two daughters, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon is following her father's tradition of sharing God's Word to the world. Also known by CSO as a singer, she is a talented, award winning gospel musician and is a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was educated at Edo College. He then received an award to study architecture at Bendel State University. He also holds an honorary doctorate in divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He was called from God to join the ministry and to serve the Lord.

When he was still at the university, The Man of God created what would become one of the largest churches around the world. He started an unassuming prayer group dubbed "Youth for Christ" which would later become the most well-known organisation of its type on campus. This could also be the basis for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated, with millions of followers across the world.

The LoveWorld ministry was established under the leadership of Pastor Chris. It's a pioneer in satellite television, Christian TV production and programming. Oyakhilome LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian TV station that broadcasts from Africa all day, via free-to-air networks. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations around the globe.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria and also South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church operates two Healing Schools, based in South Africa and Canada, in which Pastor Chris organizes seasonal sessions during which the power of God is demonstrated.

Music and Gospel Music play an integral part to worship. Pastor Chris is adamant Christ Embassy Churches to have a choir that is trained by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry, and through the spirit and guidance of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome many of these musicians go on to be successful in their solo careers.

The Future African Leaders Foundation, (FALF), is an organization that seeks to continue the inspiring work of Pastor Chris. Its mission is to find and train young, talented leaders. They prepare them for an exciting future by assisting and recognizing their outstanding achievements. Pastor Chris invests in the youth of today so that they can be tomorrow's leaders.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a passionate philanthropist who founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation (COFI) which is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation with the aim of aiding the most vulnerable communities and people in the most impoverished regions and nations across the globe.

In addition to preaching the Gospel, The Man of God also founded a number of NGOs with the aim of providing essential services and hope for the needy, poor, or forgotten. Five partners are part of COFI and are working to improve the living conditions in the most deprived areas.

COFI is responsible for the InnerCity Mission ICM for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC, Traumacare International Foundation TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), in addition to the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organisations works to improve people's lives, health, spirits and overall wellbeing.

The charity also offers assistance for children who are in need. Pastor Chris believes in strengthening communities by establishing COFI and The InnerCity Mission.
