Chris Oyakhilome Biography: The Man, The Mentor, The Teacher and The Philanthropist

Pastor, faith healer, writer, and TV host, Chris Oyakhilome, known by his fans as Pastor Chris is the president and founder of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, based in Lagos, Nigeria. His unique way of telling God's Word inspired millions around the world.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (December 7 63, Nigeria) was born to a family of faith and loving, devoted parents. He is the oldest son of Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina who is the mother of the Oyakhilome family, who imprinted her faith in God's grace upon her son from a young age.

The LoveWorld ministry includes the entire family. Reverend Ken the brother of Ken is the revered pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member on Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM) in which several gospel artists are among the top-selling artists worldwide.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Carissa Sharon follows in in her father's footsteps of sharing God’s Word with the world. Also known by CSO as a singer, she is an accomplished, award-winning gospel musician and is a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies at Edo College. Then he was granted a scholarship to go to Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There was he obtained a BSc. in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds an honourary doctorate in divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. It was Ambrose Ali University when he received a call from God to become a minister and servant of the Lord.

Pastor Chris: The Mentor
While he was at the university, The Man of God founded what would be one of the biggest churches in the world. He established a small prayer group called "Youth for Christ" that would eventually develop into the most renowned organisation of its type on campus. It was also the foundation for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated which has millions of followers across the world.

The Future African Leaders Foundation, (FALF), is an organization that seeks to continue the work of Pastor Chris. It is aimed at identifying and developing talented, young leaders, and preparing them for a positive future by recognizing the achievements of these young leaders and encouraging them to continue. Pastor Chris is investing today in youngsters to enable them to be leaders of the future.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a zealous and generous philanthropist. He founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation (COFI) an independent, non-profit foundation with the goal of aiding the most vulnerable people and communities in some the most deprived regions and countries of the globe.

The Man of God established NGOs to deliver essential services and provide hope to the needy, poor and uninformed. COFI has five partners who support it, each of whom is dedicated to improving living standards in remote areas.

COFI's umbrella covers the InnerCity Mission ICM (ICM), the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation /TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation and the Bible For All Mission. Each organization works to improve the health, lives and spirits of those in dire need.

His charity also provides nourishment for children in need. Pastor Chris believes in empowering communities through COFI as well as The InnerCity Mission. He encourages responsible governance, good governance leadership and sustainable development in Africa as well as other parts of the world as per the Sustainable Development Goals.
