I've combined all the Feed the Beast Mods (FTB) together because they work well together and can rely on each others for full functionality. They're what I currently use for a modded Minecraft server! My main complaint is the insufficient documentation for some mods. This is something to be aware of.
FTB Backups Game versions: 1.12, 1.14, 1.15, 1.16. This is a configurable server backup system that is created only when players are online.
FTB Quests Game versions: 1.12, 1.15, 1.16 If you are looking for a server that has quests, this mod is perfect. It makes it easy for players to create custom quests.
FTB Chockets Game Versions: 1.15 and 1.16 This mod comes equipped with its own minimap and world map. You can also claim chunks. Only players with whom the player has allied will be able affect or interact with the blocks in the claimed region. I highly recommend using in conjunction with FTB Teams for full functionality.
FTB Teams Game Versions: 1.15, 1.16 This mod adds the ability for teams to be made. It's not very impressive on its own but when combined with FTB Chunks or FTB Quests, the servers run smoothly.
FTB Ultimine Versions: 1.12, 1.15, 1.16 This is an excellent VeinMeiner option for newer version. A configurable key allows players to harvest multiple blocks at once. You can also configure a whitelist of blocks for the server!
FTB Essentials Game Version: 1.16 This mod adds utility commands that are essential to running and maintaining a server. It allows players the ability to teleport to each other, change nicknames, establish homes, and much more!
Minecraft
FTB Ranks Game Versions 1.15, 1.16 If you want to allow permissions on a server, this is essential. You can create ranks for moderators, new players, and any other type of player that gives access to mod commands.
