Minecraft ditches Super Duper graphics plan

Minecraft will be keeping its block-based look for the foreseeable future as plans to update its graphics are cancelled.
Mojang, a Minecraft developer, stated that it had stopped development on the Super Duper graphics package for the game.
The pack would have provided realistic textures, lighting effects, and all-around better graphics.
The pack was "too technically demanding", so it was scrapped.
'Disappointing'
At the 2017 E3 Games Show, the E3 Games show unveiled the plan to make Minecraft more realistic. The ambitious plan was to make a downloadable add-on that all but did away with the basic, blocky look of the massively popular game.
In 2017, Mojang said its work also would produce an add-on for the Xbox version of Minecraft that let the game run at a resolution of 4K on the console.
Originally, Super Duper was to appear in autumn 2017. Just Another Wordpress Site However the release date was moved back to 2018. The Super Duper add-on was eventually cancelled in 2019.
It apologized for the technical demands of the update.
It said: "We are sorry for your disappointment - there was enthusiasm for Super Duper both inside and outside the studio, but we are not happy with the performance of the pack across devices."
Mojang said that it wasn't done with improving Minecraft's look on different game-playing gadgets, and that it would share more information regarding this work soon.
