Get Your Runescape Account Back After It Has Been Hacked - How To Recover
There are a couple different ways to get it back.

1. Click the "Recover Account" option while logging in. You will be asked to provide your username in order to have your account information emailed to you.
2. If you do not have access to your email or the email has been changed internally in your Runescape account then it may be necessary to send an email to [email protected] and they will be able to further assist you in recovering your account as well as any items you may have lost.

Jagex Won't Recover Your Gold or Items?

In some situations Jagex may not be able or may be unwilling to return any lost items you may have sustained do to your account being compromised. Whether it be to teach you a lesson (unlikely) or maybe that customer support representative is just not having the best day. If you run into this I would recommend opening another petition or posting on the online forums using the ideas below to create a new account as well.

Put forth your due diligance!

When trying to recover a lost account or items in Runescape it may be necessary to not only petition Jagex via their link above or via email but I would also recommend creating a new account if you do not have access to your old one or the password was changed. Once you have a new account complete the in game tutorial in order to get off newbie island and into general population. Travel to a major city on free to play like Varrok or the like and look for a mass of people in order to have a better chance of finding an in game mod.

Once you have located your Runescape moderator message them and explain the situation these individuals have the ability to restore lost items and accounts depending on how long they have been doing it and their primary purpose is to keep and restore order to Runescape's gaming environment.

I would also recommend adding your main account to your friends list in order to monitor and message the individual who has hacked your account (assuming this is the reason you are here).

Don't Be Foolish

If you are able to make contact with the hacker then tread lightly. What I mean by this is please don't go off freaking out on the guy, this will just fuel the fire they have created and make you look more like a kid, child or a flat out newb. Let's face it, Runescape is just a game, although we take great satisfaction in our levels, quest completions, items gathered, and our online relationship, it's still just a non-tangible reward system that does not apply in the real world and a hacker is only playing a game created by themselves in taking your account. Be courteous and ask nicely for access back to your account to ensure the best possible chance of this guy or girl seeing that he can move on to a new victim and leave you alone since he didn't get the response he or she most likely wanted. Although they may end up taking some or all of your gear you will be that much closer to recovering your account and/or items. Don't get upset, just take action.

hey i got hacked today and the dude wont let me have my acc back and i askd nice and he still didn't budge he changed the username password recovery questions like everything is there a way to get it back and i spent like 3 years on that acc

@93civic in most cases you can recover an account regardless of how long ago it was hacked you just need to verify you are the owner of the account.

email to [email protected] and they will be able to further assist you in recovering your account as well as any items you may have lost.

They have other avenues of discovering account ownership and it should be possible to recover your runescape account through them.

Yeah, guy just hacked my main for 60m he changed password,email& recovery questions is there a possible way runescape would let me get it back? i spent a lot of time on that account and he was members so i guess that was a waste of cash and time huh?

@sofia & @mrmikey189 unfortunately I have no way to supply you with an account but if you follow one of the links above you may find a way to make back the items you lost much quicker than usual. I would also contact jagex about your account to see if item recovery is an option.
