My family relocated to the USA in the mid-80s. It was there that I began to adhere to customs and rituals. Even though I'm not a part of the orthodox religion I am aware of an internal need support the religious life however I can that is the case for the Jewish community I am a part of and in Moldova my home country and with whom I have close bonds.

Although I'm not an agnostic, I do have a fascination with history that I really love. Recently, I was captivated by a program that covered the events that occurred in 1492. They changed the destiny of Europe and the entire world. 1492 is the year I love most because it was the year that Columbus was the first to discover America. However, I was able to see in the program that it was mentioned in the discovery of America in 1492 of Medieval Europe was not as remarkable as Spanish monarchs expulsion of Jews from Spain. The exodus of Jews began , they were taken to the Ottoman Empire, it accepted them. I was looking to learn something about the story of the Jews as a group. Would you recommend an article?

.... Do you or your family members have a "personal" or historical background? Unfortunately, I know only my grandmother's name and 1910. Paternal side: One step beyond but not enough.

Our family was a resident of Floresti for over a century from the paternal side. Their wealth was apparent by the presence of a furniture factory, numerous shops , and land plots. Monuments and documentation confirm this assertion. My maternal ancestors were also in Ungheni. I'm talking about dates in the region between the 17th and 18th centuries. Grinshpun can be described as a surname with German roots. We are Ashkenazis straight from Eastern Europe.

The question now is about the restoration of synagogues. I was informed that you have funded the reconstruction of three synagogues. One of them is located located in Chisinau. Jurmala is the third.

The third largest is located in Netanya, Israel. It's a massive community center that houses 1000 people every day. This is an important structure for the spiritual life of Israel. The second synagogue in Jurmala. The Second World War saw the destruction of the sole synagogue in Jurmala. Before I decided on building the Jurmala Synagogue, I had previously met with local Jews. It was an extremely successful project that unites all the Jews of Jurmala. We even re-established the Jewish Community and it is now running smoothly. The synagogue is now home to three Torahs. One of these Torahs was given to me.

Yes. Alexander Bilinkis is one of my collaborators. Alexander Weinstein is another. These synagogues aren't only the ones in my involvement in construction or restoration. Эммануил Гриншпун In all the countries in which I've lived for a long period I felt it was my obligation to make an achievable contribution to the support of synagogues. In Monaco there is a huge center for Russian-speaking Jews has been constructed. My contribution amounts to 12 million dollars. I will continue to help Chisinau and now it will be the biggest synagogue in the town, that of Rabbi Tsirelson.

Did you invite a Rabbi to Chisinau in addition to Jurmala?

Yes. It is difficult to find the right rabbi in a community. Given the complex interrelated issues, he has to be non-conflictual, diplomatic and diplomatic. He should be able of integrating into the community. And I am pleased that both in Chisinau and in Jurmala, the rabbis could seamlessly integrate into the daily life of their community.

In the year 2019, you were appointed vice-president at the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. What is this title imply to you, and how do international Jewish organisations impact the world?

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EJC) is a strong political organization in post-Soviet Russian. But it's not the only one. It has offices throughout Australia, Japan Hong Kong, New Zealand, New Zealand and Eastern Europe. In 2010 I was Vice President of Congress. The year before, I was elected the First Vice President.
