Online video storage is unpredictable. Websites can shut down or shut down. Here are some ways to back up your social video accounts to your own laptop.

My personal story isn't one with a lot of depth. My story is not lengthy. I was born, went to school, worked and then finally, I was online. But it does contain certain traumatic events that made me believed that my life was over. One of those moments was when my computer at home stopped responding. y2mate However, after a bit of playing around, getting a new desktop and moving my hard drive from my old one into the new one I was able to restore the entire work stored on that drive. It took me three days of sweating, literally crying... I've learned one thing. Automatically or manually back up my work from the day using Dropbox and personal ftp servers so nothing can ever be erased.

This is not the most ideal solution. The bigger your data storage becomes the more you will must pay to maintain all of it, and keep it online. It's easy to use and it seems to be very secure. It's simple to download and is downloaded from anywhere there is internet. But what about times when WiFi or any other internet connection isn't accessible? I love keeping my laptop close by for those moments. It's my last option to protect against loss of data. There are 2 drives that are connected to form a RAID stack which means they copy each other and ensure that a copy remains if 1 of the 2 HDDs is damaged. Because I copy most of my data there, it's not often that my laptop will work. I don't want two drives to be destroyed on the same day.


Another big day of sadness was few months ago.. As I mentioned above, I make sure not to lose my work. I copy the same file multiple times and make it available wherever internet access is accessible. This was different, this was about Periscope. I was a frequent user of it in the past. I even did live streaming during the Riots in summer 2020. Periscope TV has now closed and all videos are scheduled to disappear in the next few weeks. What should I do? I need all the videos downloaded so that they can be stored offline on my laptop. These videos are extremely significant for me. I was with my friend at the time he disappeared off the radar of Covid. It seems like it took him.

It's a website I utilize to download videos from Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, and other places. I am into politics and underground movements, and so I often film live events, store them for future use and publish them on my YouTube channel, and when the live stream is over, I back the footage to my laptop. This is how I work. This allows me cross-post videos to different platforms. Not only can I post Youtube videos on Facebook however, I also can upload that video directly to Facebook. It's its own video. And so it happens, I have three TB of live feeds that I've conducted over the past eight years. It's not like I'm losing my Periscope lives.. And this site is very helpful to me.

It's as easy as. After opening the video I want, I copy its URL by clicking the sharing link. Then I visit the website for video downloads then copy the URL and click the button. In just a few seconds, I have multiple choices to download the video. It's not every site that can assist with Periscope but this one can, and it can handle m3u8 file formats which other websites typically download on your behalf.. They work, don't get me wrong but they're actually based on fragments of online video feeds which means that playing the file in VLC while works great, does not actually do the job because the video isn't actually installed on your computer but it's on the internet and plays from online as the player loads small fragments of video 1 by 1...

If you aren't aware, the Windows copy command will allow you to join these fragments and create a normal length video file. This is because of the format used by video to create the fragments, MpegTS, also known as transport stream. It contains all the information necessary for video decoding in each fragment which makes them distinct from the stream itself, to allow each newcomer begin streaming without delay. The browser also protects information by downloading 360 x 10 second videos. It only downloads the streams that you are watching. The player will receive three to four fragments of the 25 second stretch and 1-2 following fragments for if it continues to view the stream. This reduces the amount of download needed to watch the stream within 25 seconds.
