The Nether's ferry service is the Strider. To get across huge bodies of lava The player can transform a wild Strider into a mount by following the same method as riding an animal in the Overworld. Personally, I don't mind the occasional, three-hour bridge-building sessions, nor the misclicks that cause me to plunge into 2000 degree hot liquid baths however, the Strider certainly makes life in lava considerably easier. All you require is a saddle and the fungus with a warped stick, then giddyup - you've got yourself a mount!

A Strider ride can be quite scary. The Strider's unique moveset can make it difficult to ride on, not only because you are afraid of falling into lava or losing your belongings, When it walks, it wiggles around, similar to the bobblehead that was in your parents' car that you just cannot stop poking. Very charming, but a complete accident if you are looking for Brandon.
"Animations in Java's version of Minecraft aren't made using an external tool. Instead, it's basically math functions that make them move in a certain way. One time, I was playing around with this and the Strider performed an odd whirlwind from one side to the other. It was a bit quirky and entertaining especially when you consider the Strider’s... distinctive appearance.
