Minecraft ditches Super Duper graphics plan

Minecraft will continue to keep its block-based style for the foreseeable future , as plans to revamp its graphics have been canceled.
Mojang is a Minecraft developer, announced that it had halted development of the Super Duper graphics package for the game.
The pack would have offered realistic textures, lighting effects and all-round better graphics.
The pack proved too technical so it was thrown out.
'Disappointing'
At the 2017 E3 games show, the strategy to make Minecraft look more authentic was revealed. The ambitious plan was to make an online add-on that all but did away from the basic, squishy look of the massively popular game.
Mojang announced in 2017 that it was planning to develop an add-on for Minecraft for Xbox. This will allow the game to run at 4K resolution on the console.
The Super Duper addon was originally set to be released in autumn 2017. However the date of release was moved to 2018. The addon was later canceled entirely in 2019.
Balonium
It apologized for the technical demands of the update.
It stated: "We are sorry for your disappointment. There was a lot of excitement for Super Duper both inside and outside the studio, however we're not satisfied with the performance of the pack across devices."
Mojang added that it was not entirely finished with improving the look of Minecraft on various gaming devices and promised to release more details on this project soon.
