Technoblade, 'Minecraft' YouTube Creator, Dies Aged 23

Technoblade, top Minecraft YouTuber, has passed away at the age of 23 following a fight with cancer.



The creator's father uploaded a moving video on YouTube on Thursday with the title "so long nerds," with the message written by Technoblade himself. His father stated that the video was a collaboration with his family in his final days. However, Technoblade wrote it eight hours before his death. In the message the rapper revealed his real name: Alex.



"Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you're watching this. He wrote, "I am dead," in the text that was read by his father. "Thank you to all who have supported my content throughout the years. If I had another hundred years I'm pretty sure I'd prefer to be Technoblade over and over again because those were the most joyful years of my life."



His father told the video that he was "the most amazing child you could ever ask for." Technoblade is my favorite.



Technoblade who has 10.8 million followers on YouTube, told them of his cancer diagnosis on the platform in August 2021.



Technoblade's family released an apology at the end of Thursday's video.



"We, the family of Technoblade we wanted you to know how much he loved and valued his fans and colleagues. Technoblade was an online community since its infancy. He was always seeking ways to please and give his followers a reward," it said.



"Even after his successes he somehow managed to keep his good-natured humour, and compete with an endearing balance between his confidence and self-deprecating with. Technoblade's online store has an obituary in honor of his memory, stating that a percentage of the profits from online purchases will be donated to the Sarcoma Foundation of America. Hypixel, a Minecraft server for minigames, has also posted an impressive tribute to. He was a frequent participant on the server. In a statement, the founder and CEO Simon Collins-Laflamme described Technoblade as "one of the most globally popular YouTubers."
