Minecraft is now well over 10 years old. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, in 2019, Mojang released Minecraft Classic for the web. It lets you play Minecraft in your web browser. Minecraft Classic doesn't require you to download anything.

Minecraft Classic has been available for many years. Minecraft Classic was only available for Mac, Windows, and Linux prior to that and required Java. It's now available to everyone for free on the Minecraft Classic website.
How to Play Minecraft Free in Your Browser
Simply point your browser to the Minecraft Classic website to play Minecraft Classic. It will immediately start generating a level. Once your game is created, you'll be given an exclusive link that you can share with friends.
You can invite your friends to join you in playing Minecraft however, it isn't required. Simply send the link via email or your preferred messaging application. To play Minecraft in your browser, just select your username and click the Start link.
The controls are simple You just need to left-click your mouse to place blocks or mine them and right-click to switch between the two. It is also possible to use the WASD controls to move left, forward and right, as well as back and other keyboard controls.
You can hit the Escape key at any point to bring up the Game Menu. You can either create a brand new level or copy an existing link. You can switch various settings on and off by clicking Options. Additionally, you can remind yourself of the controls.
What you can and can't do in Minecraft
Like the name suggests, Minecraft Classic isn't the Minecraft of 2022. It's the game that was in existence in 2009. This means you'll have to live with an unwieldy user interface and be left with only 32 blocks to construct with, and more bugs than the typical rainforest.
Minecraft Classic only allows you to play in Creative mode, meaning there's no Survival mode, which has enemies to take on. There is no way to save your game. Still, as mentioned above you can invite up to nine friends to join your game. And playing Minecraft with friends makes it much more enjoyable.

It's true that Minecraft Classic is not as good as the current version. It's still free and it can be played on any web browser. You should definitely take advantage of this chance to make gaming historical recollections.
