Forge is an open-source, free mod API that your favorite mods make use of!

Installing Forge
Visit the Forge website and select the Minecraft version you want to download Forge for from the list.
The installers for the Recommended Build and the most recent builds are available on this page. The latest builds may include newer features but may be more unstable due to. The installer will attempt to install Forge in your vanilla launcher environment. Once it is installed, you can create a new profile using the latest version and launch the game.
