คลิปยิ่งยาวยิ่งมีรายได้เยอะ เมื่อเทียบกับคลิปสั้นที่สั้นกว่าที่มียอดวิวเท่ากัน
แต่บางครั้งการทำคลิปยาวก็ไม่ใช่คำตอบครับ
ยกตัวอย่าง สมมุติทำคลิปยาว 1 ชั่วโมง แสนวิวได้ประมาณ $65
แต่ถ้าทำคลิปสั้นแค่ 15 นาที แสนวิวได้ประมาณ $30
หากเอาคลิปยาว 1 ชั่วโมงมาทำเป็นตอน ตอนละ 15 นาที จะได้ 4 ตอน
ถ้ามีจำนวนคนดูเท่าเดิม จะได้ยอดวิวทั้งหมด 4 แสนวิว
แสนวิวได้ $30 4 แสนวิวก็จะได้ $120
อันนี้คิดแบบบัญญัติไตรยางศ์ แต่ในความจริงอาจไม่ได้ 4 แสนวิว
ถ้าคลิปเนื้อหาต่อเนื่องกัน คลิปหลังๆมักมีคนดูน้อยลง ซึ่งขึ้นอยู่กับเนื้อหาของคลิปด้วยครั้บ
บางคนทำคลิปสั้นๆแค่ 2 นาที
การทำคลิปที่มีความยาวแค่ 2 นาที เมื่อเทียบกับคลิปที่มีความยาว 1 ชั่วโมง ถ้ามีคนดูแสนวิวเท่ากัน คลิป 2 นาทีจะได้เงินน้อยกว่า
แต่ว่าสำหรับคลิป 2 นาทีแล้ว ทุก 2 นาทีที่มีคนดู จะมีโฆษณาโผล่ขึ้นมา 1 ครั้ง (ข้อมูลโดยอนุโลม เพราะบางทีก็ไม่มีโฆษณาขึ้น แต่บางทีคนดูแค่ 2 นาทีก็มีโฆษณาขึ้นมา 3 จุด คือก่อนเล่นคลิป ระหว่างเล่นคลิป และมุมบนขวามือ)
ในขณะที่คลิป 1 ชั่วโมง อาจมีโฆษณาระหว่างเล่นคลิปโผล่ขึ้นมาทุก 10 นาที หรือ 20 นาที (ตรงนี้ผมไม่แน่ใจว่ากี่นาทีนะครับ) ส่วนโฆษณาก่อนเล่นคลิปโผล่ขึ้นมาแค่ครั้งเดียว และโฆษณามุมขวาก็น่าจะครั้งเดียวเหมือนกัน (ตรงนี้ผมไม่เคยสังเกต)
สรุปว่าถ้าทำคลิป 2 นาที ที่มีคนดู 60 นาที จะได้เงินมากกว่า ทำคลิป 1 ชั่วโมง ที่มีคนดู 60 นาที (พูดถึงจำนวนนาทีทีมีคนดู ไม่ใช่ยอดวิว)
แต่ถ้าเทียบกันระหว่างคลิป 2 นาทีที่มีคนดู 1 แสนวิว กับคลิป 1 ชั่วโมงที่มีคนดู 1 แสนวิว คลิปที่ยาวกว่าจะได้เงินมากกว่า
ซึ่งอาจจะแตกต่างกันไปตามประเภทของคลิปด้วยนะครับ
