A recent resolution of members of the Portland City Council demands that the Federal Communications Commission do more studies on the health consequences on the health of wireless 5G network. While this research is necessary however, it's unlikely to be completed in the same timeframe that the 5G technology is rolled out. By then, the industry will have moved towards the new generation, presumably 6G or 7G. The resolution expresses the desire to have local control over the matter, but the resolution also acknowledges that local governments aren't legally able to rescind federal orders.

Many experts argue that the radiation produced through 5G technology is not enough to cause cancer. However, recent research conducted by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has challenged this belief. There have been a variety of reports connecting 5G mobile networks to arson attacks. Homepage involved the burning of 20 towers for cell phones within the United Kingdom during the Easter weekend. The arsonists had a plan in their minds and set the towers of cell phones on fire with the form of ears like bunnies. This pattern may be connected to the ongoing coronavirus epidemic. But, no one has been able to confirm this theory.

Although these theories have been in circulation for a long time, the recent hype around 5G has increased their visibility.
