Today we're bringing you a real-world piece of art with a bit of animation. Reddit user GoodSirCompany posted a cute video showing their first Lego Minecraft stop-motion animation. The video features a character dressed in black armour, moving towards an unsuspecting skeleton and smiting them. It's a great small piece of work and, while it has some rough edges, it has a pleasant smootness to the battle.
It is also filled with wonderful little details. One of the most striking is the fire, which continuously flickers to really help cement the feeling of movement throughout the mini diorama. For those who are observant you'll also see an appearance from something that's suspicious in the background. Who doesn't love a good cameo?
GoodSirCompany's very first attempt at this, there are useful comments as well. It's obvious that the shadows in background are shifting. However, a good lighting source can be helpful. Camera shake is also a possibility when GoodSirCompany presses the shutter button. Slasken06 suggested that the shake can be fixed by using wireless headphones to capture the pictures. Bankadda You can also use the remote. If you didn't expect some stop motion suggestions take this as is a bonus.
