Minecraft is getting close to a few updates that could fundamentally alter the way you play when you want to play with game mechanics... or simply take a trip into a virtual world. An upgrade arriving the 18th of October for Minecraft's Windows 10, Pocket and Gear VR editions will introduce Add-Ons that allow you to modify how characters and objects behave by altering text files. Want giant chickens, or Creepers that trigger huge explosions? It's now a simple task. Think of it as an entry point into the world of game mods, without needing to learn programming.
VR gamers receive better controller support. The Bluetooth-enabled Xbox One gamepad, similar to the one supplied with the Xbox One S, can be used with Windows 10 and Gear VR editions. Adda bank Oculus Rift users can also utilize Oculus Touch hand controls. If Minecraft in VR remains an ordinary PC or mobile game at the moment but it will be an experience that is more distinct following the update.
The new software introduces boss battles in Windows 10, Pocket, and Gear VR versions.
Console gamers don't have to wait until the 18th to get something new. Microsoft and Mojang are unveiling the Chinese Mythology Mash-Up that, as the name suggests, introduces characters and a world that are influenced by the Chinese culture. Banners and other biomes that are logical will be featured, including polar bears or Igloos in arctic environments. The update will be available for Xbox and Wii U gamers on October 4th, and for PlayStation users on October 5th.
