Best practices for maintaining lobby clean: clean interior and exterior of doors and windows with glass cleaner using a circular motion. Dust walls, counters, artwork and signage. use cleaners to remove spots or scuff marks on counter, walls, artwork and signage. sweep soil and debris into a dustpan for disposal. mop floor and baseboards then place wet floor signs in area. clean and remove scuff marks from baseboards. in elevators wipe down all surfaces and disinfect all buttons, don't forget to clean the inside of the open doors. sweep and mop all floors including entry areas of each floor. in stairwells wipe down walls, railings and any exit doors. sweep and mop all stairs and landing areas on each floor. in public corridors wipe down surface areas including walls artwork and guest room doors. disinfect handles. sweep and mop all floors, vacuum carpet. in public restrooms wipe down all surface areas and clean mirrors with glass cleaner using a circular motion. clean toilet bowl and wipe exterior areas including seat, handle, and behind the bowl. sweep and mop floors. finally remove trash and restock all supplies paper towels, soap and toilet paper. follow the same process in all other public areas. wipe down surface areas, finish by sweeping and mopping floors.

Laundry services and maintenance: when laundering linens and terry always inspect them. if an item is torn or stained throw it away or use it as a rag. clean laundry has a huge impact on the guests and is very important to them.
laundry cycle: collect, transport, sort, wash, dry, fold, store, use.
consider wearing gloves. you should remove linen before cleaning the room. you should not place linen on floor, ground, concrete or wet/damp surfaces. you should not use linen to prop open doors or the clean floors. consider separating stained items; place in a pillowcase or separate bag. make sure laundry carts aren't overflowing this may cause black marks on the sheets from the wheels. laundry cart wheels should be regularly lubricated and free of debris and strings. avoid dragging linen on the floor or walking on it. shake linen when sorting to shake out any possible objects. sort based on linen type, linen color, and soil level. stain treatment is crucial.
