Bad news, the flights they found for London - Bali - Thailand - London are £590, so literally the same as I found when I searched.
They recommended I look at Air Asia for deals, which I've done, and I've tried to see if we can fly into Kuala Lumpur cheaper and then get a really cheap Air Asia flight to Bali etc, but the route I've found works out about the same price as Google Flights gave me in the first place (£262 to fly to Kuala Lumpur + a £30 Air Asia flight to Bali which totals £292, (yet flying with Guarda Indonesia we could do that two-stop journey for £282 as I first found)). And they haven't been able to quote me anything cheaper... grrr... But looking at my spreadsheet even if we got flights £100 cheaper somewhere, you'd still be £300 rather than £400 over your £1,200 budget...
