Minecraft updates are normally an exciting moment for players, but this one was actually created entirely by artificial intelligence. While this isn't a first time that AI being employed to play with the sandbox, this is the first time AI has been utilized for creating new and exciting features.
SystemZee who you might remember from their excellent ocean redesign, decided it would be funny to let an AI design an update that they and their team would implement. Things go insane after the first suggestion (below) about a crafting table.
A wishing well that gives players a random item when you throw an emerald but our favorite is the Lava Bow - which shoots an archer that leaves behind lava blocks. This sounds amazing, but it can also be a deadly weapon in games. It could accidentally destroy entire areas and your computer in just a few seconds. The update's name is Minecraft: World Domination. It's more of an actual Freudian slip than a statement of intent. The AI also created the name. This name is connected to some of the more risky and disturbing new additions to this fake update. Your toaster could be plotting against you If it is looking at you in a funny way.
