Broken Sky texture. I have 1.12.2 optimfine installed. I fiddled with the details settings as well as the Sun, sky and star options, and after im done the sky has broken textures. Reverting to the default settings didn't help. What should I do?
AE2 is 99% perfect, but I would like to change two things about the mod
Honestly, it's kinda been on my mind for the last week or so and I thought I'd post it here.
The fact that the unique amount of items per storage cell remains at 63 no matter the level is quite disappointing. Each level could hold twice the number of unique items as the previous storage space starting at 32. Thus, it would be 32, 64 128, 256, and 512 unique items per cell. This is mainly because, like many modded players I use this mod to provide massive storage when I have a lot of mods that include content, and having several disk drives really eats up resources. This leads to the next problem.
How do items are counted. Instead of a serial number, it might be better to go by ID tag to ensure that items such as books with magical covers don't clog up the system(s)
I don't have the time or expertise to comprehend the system so this may have been the best way to go.
What are the "best coding practices" to create mod packs or run a server? Excellent suggestions for increasing QOL and speed.
(minecraft 1.16.5, figured this was important and added last, If there is any other "crucial" info i missed, comment and i will edit it on to here)
i've been coding for about 2 months, running a server for my own pack for about a month, And want to learn some more about how to improve my coding/organization/shortcuts/ formatting/etc.some notes are that i'm using Kube.js, Javascript (obviously), VSC, and i have a github here (https://github.com/Apoachedpenguin/Waddlecraft-home) if anyone cares to look over it and see where i can improve! (embarrassed to share but how better to get better)
So if anyone has helpful tips for beginners to code and how things you've learned significantly improved your life, let me know, here's a quick list of a few things i have trouble with, but basically any suggestions that have helped improve your QOL (no matter how small) I'd like to know! Even if they're not applicable to me they can apply to others who may be thinking the same thing :)
Some general questions to generate ideas, but i would love to hear about anything, i am making modpacks and runnins
How to quickly understand log messages and error logs. I can repair my own kubejs mistakes however, identifying odd conflicts and warnings within Logs and kubejs logs takes hundreds of lines of code!)
How can i be more efficient and perform a variety of "custom" events in a row? My friend created an application for it, but its something i still have to master. (First one worked but it was a BIT CRAZY).
How can I cut down on the amount of code, streamline it and arrange things in a proper How can I streamline my code, reduce clutter, and make things more efficient?
how best can i find mod conflicts, Just logs? Is there a better way to do this?
How can I stop the continual onslaught hell-born chickens trying to eat my mortal flesh?
What mods can be used to reduce the lag? (I have a long list of server-side mods that a friend sent me, but I haven't had the time to look through them all, pick some and ensure they don't conflict.
How can i more efficiently eliminate old, unneeded things (old mod configs that i no have any longer require, redundant and also unnecessary Github files that I wasn't certain if was necessary or not)
