The best HP laptops
HP Spectre x360 13.5
Its HP Spectre x360 has long been among the most recognizable Windows laptops, and, with the latest Spectre x360 13.5, it's equally easy to recommend as the previous models. It's HP's most coveted model, sporting an elegant design, top-of-the-line specifications, and a stunning display.
The first thing to note is that the HP Spectre x360 13.5 is powered by a 12th-generation Intel Core Intel i7-1255U processor, which has 12 threads, ten cores, and boost speeds of up to 4.7GHz which means you're receiving the most recent and best technology available. It's one of the fastest Ultrabook processors available at present, and it also comes with Iris Xe graphics to enable the use of some lightweight GPU tasks, such as some extremely light gaming. You can also set up the Spectre x360 to have 32GB of RAM and two TB SSD storage.
The display is equally impressive on the Spectre 13.5 x360 13.5, which has the exact aspect ratio of 3:2 that we saw previously on the Spectre 15 x360. The display is identical to the one on the laptop, and that's not an issue. The 13.5-inch show has a Full HD+ (1920 x 1280) resolution, the same as the base model. You can add a privacy panel for when you're working with sensitive data in public. The best upgrade option is the impressive 3K2K (3000 2K)) OLED display that will look amazing. OLED displays have amazingly vibrant colors and excellent contrast ratios. And that resolution is adequate for a show of this size.
Compared to its competitors, the most significant upgrade on this model is its webcam. It's a highly appreciated upgrade. It's a 5MP camera and supports 1080p video. It is also equipped with intelligent features such as auto framing and light correction to ensure that you appear professional during video meetings and calls. HP laptop is a significant upgrade over the 720p webcams of the past. It also has support for Windows Hello facial recognition, as well as the fingerprint reader.
The new Spectre, the x360 13.5, features some significant aesthetic changes that draw design cues of the model with 16 inches which came out in late 2021. The dual-tone design that the Spectre series has got us familiar with is still there, but it's slightly more subtle; however, it looks fantastic. It's available in a Nightfall Black version with copper accents, a modest Nocturne Blue with blue highlights of celestial and Natural Silver if you don't like the dual-tone appearance. In terms of portability, the laptop measures 17mm wide and weighs 3.01 lbs, making it relatively light for you to transport.
When it comes to ports, along with one Thunderbolt 4 port in the corner, you also get a third one on the side, a USB Type-A port, a headphone socket, and a microSD card reader. It's not an extensive selection in harbors, but what you'd expect from the size of a laptop and Thunderbolt support means it's simple to increase your connectivity using the help of a Thunderbolt dock.
It is an excellent convertible with an impressive high-end screen, striking design, and performance. It's one of the top laptops HP produces.
HP Omen 17
HP is also an excellent choice for gaming enthusiasts with their Omen series of laptops which includes the Omen 17 will be the top of the crop if you are looking to start playing. It has powerful specs in an elegant and sleek style and an impressive screen that can immerse you in the game.
Before we start, let's discuss performance. The latest OMEN 17 runs up to an Intel Core processor of the i9-12900HX. It's a powerful 55W CPU with 24 threads and 16 cores capable of speeding up to 5GHz speeds, so you'll get the performance you require and more. Additionally, you can set it up with the NVIDIA GeForce 3080 Ti notebook GPU. So, it's likely that every game will run smoothly and at a fast frame rate. In addition, you will have up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of space. If you can afford the cash to spend, this is an absolute beast of a machine with top-of-the-line configuration.
Oddly, the display doesn't provide options for configuration, but the collection you receive is suitable. It's a Quad HD (2560 1440 x 2560) panel with an accelerated refresh rate of 165Hz, which is an excellent combination of speed and resolution. HP Laptop makes it an outstanding laptop for gaming and work. With the powerhouse hardware of the computer, you can comfortably run this display to its fullest and still keep the quality settings in most gaming.
The webcam is a typical issue with gaming laptops. HP Laptop is not any different from this laptop, unfortunately. The camera is 720p which could be better. However, it's also missing Windows Hello facial recognition. There's also no fingerprint scanner, meaning there's no option to authenticate with biometrics.
In terms of design, the new OMEN 17 looks great. The previous OMEN models were chunky; however, the most recent version is sleek and elegant. The lid is only adorned with an elongated OMEN logo, but it's likely to be overlooked in a professional setting. However, it's large, approximately 27mm in thickness, and weighing 6.17 lbs and weighing 6.17lbs. However, it's fantastic. You'll get the RGB backlit keyboard and large arrow keys, which are separated from the other keys to ensure accidental key presses. Backlights are also available in a 4-zone configuration or the more costly per-key model.
There's also a significant number of ports.
This HP Laptop has Three USB Type-A ports (which numerous peripherals still utilize), a Thunderbolt 4/USB C port, HDMI 2.1 Mini DisplayPort, and the Gigabit Ethernet microSD card readers, as well as the headphone port.
Also, the power connector is proprietary since the charger, in this case, is much stronger than USB Type-C can deliver. It gives you all you require to set up your gaming system, and Thunderbolt 4 allows you to expand further by using an aforementioned desktop-grade GPU or additional monitors.
HP Elite Dragonfly G3
Business users have different requirements than consumers of all kinds, which is why the HP Elite Dragonfly G3 is one of the top laptops on the market. Similar to many laptops for business, It's highly adjustable yet robust and light.
For those who want to boost their performance beginning with performance, the Elite Dragonfly G3 gives you the option of choosing a variety of processors, all of which are part of Intel's 12th-generation line. It is possible to upgrade to an Intel Core i7-1265U processor with the vapor feature, an eight-core 12thread processor that can increase the speed to 4.8GHz. It also comes with Intel Iris Xe graphics, meaning fewer GPU tasks are possible with this laptop. It is also equipped with 32GB or more of memory (the minimum is 16GB), as high as 2TB SSD, and some models with a self-encrypting drive to increase security.
The display is equally impressive and has several options for setting up, although they're only sometimes apparent. It's a 13.5-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, and it's available in Full HD+ (1920 x 1280) resolution which is sharp enough for the size. The default setting is a Bright View panel with 400 units of brightness. You can also add touch support or an anti-glare coating to improve functionality outdoors. Most notable, however, is the possibility of HP's Sure View Reflect privacy screen that keeps others from seeing your work when working in public.
On top of that display is who can find the 5MP webcam on a variety of HP's top laptops for this year. Similar to its predecessor, the Spectre x360, this camera has auto framing, light correction, and other features to improve the quality of calls. Additionally, it supports Windows Hello facial recognition in addition to fingerprint recognition.
In terms of design, it's a standard design. HP Elite Dragonfly G3 looks relatively common, but more than its previous models. It's no longer a convertible model and is available in blue and "slate blue," though the latter isn't available when you're looking to build-to-order the configuration. It's more noticeable and could be less appealing in terms of appearance. In addition to its looks, the laptop is incredibly lightweight, beginning at 2.2 lbs and measuring 16.26mm in thickness. So it's straightforward to take everywhere.
For ports, it has ports. HP Elite Dragonfly G3 has an impressive array of ports, including 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB Type-A port, an HDMI port, and a headphone port. It covers all the basic needs you might have, such as compatibility with older peripherals and the majority of display types without the need for an adapter. If you're using a laptop with a weight as low as this, it's pretty good.
HP Spectre x360 16
The HP Spectre x360 16 shook the entire lineup when it was first introduced in 2021. the new model has several welcome improvements in performance. In terms of design, it's the same as the original, which is not necessarily an issue.
Significant modifications are made to the internals since you have various options. If you're not interested in the discrete graphic opportunity, opt for this model: HP Spectre x360 16 with an Intel Core i7-12700H processor, a powerful 45W processor with 20 threads and 14 cores ideal for more CPU-focused tasks. If you're looking for higher-end graphics, you can purchase the laptop equipped with an Intel Core i7-1260P 28W, which has 16 threads and 12 cores coupled to Intel's discrete A370M graphics. It's an entry-level GPU. However, it will still give you better performance in gaming and, more importantly, creating content. Additionally, you'll get up to 32GB of RAM and two SSD, which is undoubtedly a superior experience for all.
The same can be said about the impressive display on the Spectre 16x360. The base model has 3K+ resolution, as HP refers to it, roughly 3072 pixels by 1920. It's a stunning display, but it's fantastic that the basic model is so excellent. However, if you'd like to be more impressive, HP also offers a 4K+ (3840 2400 x 3840) OLED version that is sharper and shows you the advantages of OLED, such as absolute blacks and vibrant colors with high ratios of contrast. Of course, it's a convertible model, which means who can also use it with pen and touch input.
The excellent news continues rolling in with the new webcam. The Spectre x360 16 has the identical 5MP webcam we've previously mentioned for several of the laptops mentioned above. It was one of the first laptops with a webcam. Features such as auto framing, lighting correction, and auto framing ensure you appear professional during meetings or video calls.
In terms of design, the Spectre x360 16 is a continuation elements design elements of the Spectre line. However, it's pretty different. The sharp edges allow for a more curvy chassis. However, you'll have accented edges around the laptop and the iconic cut-off corners beneath the display. The accents are smaller and less noticeable now as well, and on this Nocturne Blue model, the accents are of a similar color to the rest of the chassis. It's gorgeous and is a new approach to the classic design. It was even the inspiration for the Spectre 360 13.5 previously mentioned. It's also reasonably mobile and weighs just 4.45 lbs in weight. That's sensible for a convertible that's 16 inches built from aluminum.
In addition, when it comes to ports for ports, there are ports available. Spectre x360 16 has an excellent selection of ports as well. There are two Thunderbolt 4/USB-C ports, one USB Type-A port HDMI, a headset connector, and an SD card reader. It covers most of the basic requirements you may need and is what you'd want from a top laptop of this size. You could always opt for the Thunderbolt dock to gain more ports.
Overall it's an excellent laptop. Even though it's not cheap, you certainly have value for money. It's not just one of HP's top laptops but one of the top laptops available.
HP Envy 17
Do you need something a bit larger? Consider the stunning HP Envy 17, a laptop with a massive 17-inch screen that is powerful enough to handle all the tasks you need to do with high-end aluminum construction.
The latest version of the Envy 17 is similar to the Spectre, the x360 16, in which you can purchase it with a higher-performance CPU or choose an older-generation CPU that can accommodate the discrete GPU. If you do not need the most powerful GPU performance, you can opt for this HP Envy 17 with up to an Intel Core i7-1260P CPU with a 28W processor with 16 threads and 12 cores capable of increasing speeds the speed to 4.7GHz. If you desire to engage in gaming, you can go for processors with 15W, which can go as high as an Intel Core i7-1255U, which has 12 threads, ten cores, and speeds that can reach 4.7GHz. This processor is then connected to an Nvidia 2050 GPU, which means you'll be able to run modern games with reasonable frame rates. You can set the laptop to have as much as 32GB of memory and 1TB of storage, making it an extremely high-end notebook. Its display we've said it's one 17.3-inch display, and the basic configuration is available in Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. You can upgrade the display by adding touch support or upgrading to a collection that has a 4K resolution of 3840 2160 x 3840. With the bigger screen, the extra pixels are likely more effective in making everything appear sharp. The high density of pixels and the larger size will provide an excellent multi-tasking experience even though the display can work to the standard sixteen:9 ratio. Although it's not convertible, it's a fantastic display for displaying photos. Envy 17 uses glass to ensure the show is protected, even in its base configuration, making it feel as if it's more expensive.
Over the display is a look at a 5MP webcam with all the features we've discussed before. HP Laptop is a top-quality camera, and wonderful to know that HP has even integrated it into laptops that are less expensive to ensure you get the best quality video calls and meetings.
Since this laptop has a vast screen and aluminum construction, it can create a heavy machine weighing about 5.49 lbs. It's not the smallest of laptops. However, it has a high-end quality build and excellent performance and is equipped with a large screen, which is normal. There's also a fantastic range of ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 connections, three USB Type-A ports, HDMI, a headphone port, and a microSD card reader. HP Laptop gives you plenty of options for connecting any device, and the dimension of the laptop allows for an entire number of pads.
HP Pavilion Aero
If you're looking to buy something cheap but still provide excellent value and performance, the HP Pavilion Aero is not only one of the best HP laptops but also one of the top laptops. It has all the essential aspects and several additional options that make it an ideal choice for nearly anyone on a budget.
Let's get started with the performance. This HP Pavilion Aero is the only laptop in this list equipped with one of the AMD processors. However, it's not necessarily negative. It's loaded with AMD's latest Ryzen processors, which include the option of a Ryzen 55625U and a Ryzen 7 5825U. You'll get up to eight cores and 16 threads in a slim, light laptop. They're not the latest AMD processors available, but they're improved versions of earlier models, meaning you'll get a good amount of performance at an affordable cost. Apart from processing power, users can customize this laptop to have a capacity of up to 16GB and an SSD with 1TB capacity. Upgrading all these features will increase the cost, but you'll still have an excellent experience when you purchase the base model as with other laptops in that price segment.
Another great feature that is unique to Pavilion Aero is the display. Pavilion Aero has to be its display. Its base model has a Full HD+ (1920 x 1200) collection. It does have an aspect ratio of 16:10, and even though it's become more frequent in the last couple of months, it's fantastic to see it in a laptop that's so affordable. Most laptops in this price range are still equipped with a standard 16:9 screen, but this one stands out if you're looking for a more practical option. If you're looking for higher quality, you can upgrade to the Quad HD+ (2560 x 1600) display for only 30 bucks, which sounds like a steal.
The only downside to this laptop is its camera, it's running a 720p camera. It's not likely to give the best quality image, although it's serviceable. It also doesn't have Windows Hello facial recognition. However, there's an option to use a fingerprint reader if you would like a more straightforward method to access your PC.
What you get is a very lightweight design. HP Laptop is an unusual feature for a laptop, mainly because it already does everything right. It's built of a magnesium alloy which means it can begin at less than 2.2 lbs and just under 1 kilo. It also has a wide range of ports, including Two USB Type A, HDMI, and a headphone port. It doesn't have Thunderbolt support as it's an AMD-based laptop. However, this is to be expected, particularly considering the price of the computer. It also has an integrated fingerprint reader, and you'll have an authentication method that is biometric at a minimum.
