If you're concerned about the risks of 5G isn't the only one. It has been linked to cancer and other diseases and has even been the subject of Vandalism. It also has been linked to radio-frequency wavesthat are dangerous for our immune system. If you're looking to know more, read on.
Radiation caused cancer
It's not known if radiation caused cancer is related to 5G. However, there is evidence that it can lower our immune system, making us more susceptible to COVID-19. Further, studies have shown that 5G does not affect the transmission of coronaviruses that are new. However, further research is necessary to verify these findings.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is studying the health risks that come by 5G technologies. The WHO is looking at public health data and scientific evidence to identify the potential health risks related to this technology. It's not certain if the risk is serious enough to warrant an end to 5G deployment.
The immune system is weakening
One of the newest conspiracy theories that are circulating on the internet suggests that wireless 5G weakens the human immune system. According to this theory, the 5G technology could be the reason for the emergence of the Covid-19 virus, that is a lethal coronavirus. This virus spreads from person-to-person and was first recognized within Wuhan, China, about 18 months ago. Covid-19 is present in many countries and has been linked with thousands of deaths.
5G wireless technology utilizes the radio frequency of high frequencies to connect smartphones and other gadgets. However, there's an absence of research about whether or not these waves could cause cancer. Certain researchers believe that 5G could reduce the immune system's strength and can result in an increase in the chance of developing COVID-19.
Cancer
A recent resolution of The Portland City Council demands that the Federal Communications Commission do more studies on the health consequences from 5G networks. While this research is needed however, it's unlikely to be completed in the same timeframe as 5G technology is being used. By then, the industry will be moving to the next generation of technology, likely 6G or 7G. The resolution reflects the desire to have local control over the issue however, the resolution acknowledges that local governments aren't legally able to rescind federal mandates.
Many experts argue that the radiation released through 5G technology is not enough to cause cancer. But, emf radiation shield conducted by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has questioned this notion. This study has been able eliminate the causal connection with radiofrequency radiation and the development of cancer, in human and animal research. The researchers looked at 125 studies conducted on human subjects and 75 animal models from 2008 to 2019. The FDA discovered no link to radiofrequency energy and cancer.
Vandalism
A rising quantity of thieves are attempting to destroy the 5G network's infrastructure. Some of the vandalism has been involving sabotage of mobile networks by burning down masts and damaging other infrastructure. Additionally, there have been reports of people hiding razor blades and needles in anti-5G posters. In addition, several sabotage attempts have been linked to co-infections with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Protests against 5G have taken place across the globe. Anti-5G activists have declared June 6 as the day of worldwide protest and have declared that the radio emissions from 5G are harmful for the environment. But the majority of scientists agree with the activists.
Arson
There have been many reports linking 5G mobile networks to arson attacks. The most recent one involved the burning of 20 towers of cell phones located in the United Kingdom during the Easter weekend. The arsonists had a plan in mind and set fire to cell phone towers in the shape of ears like bunnies. This pattern may be connected to the ongoing coronavirus epidemic. But, no one has been able confirm this theory.
Although this theory has been in circulation for years, the recent buzz about 5G has made them more visible. For Proteckd noted that Russian propaganda channel RT America had been broadcasting stories on risks of using 5G. As a result, organizations like those of the Oakmore Neighborhood Advocacy Group have been using Pall's arguments at city council meetings as well as public forums for communities, and vocally opposing 5G installation in their neighborhood.
Politicians
The next generation of wireless technology, called 5G, is sweeping the country. It promises faster connections, quicker Internet as well as more convenient acces to info. But, with its wide rollout, comes the potential for problems. For instance, 5G might interfere with the instruments in airplanes. Already, major airlines have altered some routes to avoid proximity to the new towers.
This is why a lot of politicians are worried about the security that 5G technology will bring. The United States, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is been charged with addressing concerns regarding the latest technology. However, some politicians have called for the FCC to protect passengers and aviation by making sure that 5G is constructed safely. Reps. Andy Kim, Thomas Suozzi as well as Peter Defazio have written to the FCC seeking more details on the infrastructure needed for 5G.
Environmental activists
Many people are worried about the potential dangers of 5G mobile networks. People from the environmental movement, celebrity, even fringe science experts have raised the issue. In 2015, 190 scientists from 40 countries wrote a letter to the UN asking for the World Health Organization to review the current guidelines for 5G networks. The European Union echoed those concerns in April of 2019 when it halted work on the network.
Protests against 5G technology are taking place all over the world. In Australia there was protesters from the "We Say No to 5G" (2020a) campaign coordinated protests throughout the country. Other groups have also joined in the cause. The latest protest was held at Mullumbimby, Australia, in the middle of April. The residents of Mullumbimby were driven to protest after 5G installers installed the network against the decision by the local council. Although it was legal, the council had no authority to approve of the project.
