Minecraft Gets PlayStation VR Support

Cristina Did you come across some funny or bizarre situations while testing VR in Minecraft?

Damian: Does Covid-19 count? The whole team had to make the transition to working remotely in March. It was quite easy. bonfire It allowed us to all with a lot of work to concentrate on. With the world becoming more challenging and stressful for everyone, this was a small piece of peace in a constantly changing and complex situation.

Rog: This is not surprising however VR makes experiences more real. Things like gravel falling on you appear so real, you leap out of the way (and to fall over).

Cristina: What is your favorite thing about playing?

Damian: I really enjoy flying. The 3D elytra gives you a sense of freedom. It's also enjoyable to fly around the sky and gaze down at the world.

Rog: He really enjoys flying! It enhances the experiences I already am enjoying. Cave exploration is now more enjoyable than ever, who needs daylight eh!? !

Cristina Christina: In terms of frightening environments, which mob do you find the scariest in VR?

Damian: Call me old school, but I've always found encountering a Creeper be quite frightening. Add VR and a dark cave to the equation and the "hiss" of a nearby Creeper will make you leap out of your skin.

Rog: Yes, those are... Creepers !!!! It can be quite surprising to hear an arrow whizz by you, even though you've not seen the nearby skeleton(s).

Cristina: Which biomes do you think are the coolest?

Damian David: Swimming underwater in VR mode is a fantastic way to experience the excitement of the whole. A warm ocean biome is my favorite. Swimming with dolphins or deep diving down to an underwater shipwreck is a great way to have fun. It's like being on holiday... but without all the sandy sand that sticks to your suncream!

Rog: Jungle! Massive trees, parrots flying around, pigs walking around in the branches, it's an amazing sight in VR!

This sounds like the perfect vacation! Special thanks to Damian and Rog for explaining how fun Minecraft in VR is far superior to what I ever could. However, I am struck by the lack of amazing sights around me. It is time to test if I can conquer VR without falling.
