Unidad Obrera
On 14 January 1936, the leaders of the obrera movement signed the pacto of unity. It was meant to bring unity to the obrera communities of Mexico and latin America. However, the pacto of unity failed in this attempt. There were many reasons why the pacto of unity was a failure. For one thing, it was not signed by all the obrera leaders.

Oficina Internacional del Trabajo (OIT)

The OIT is an international organization of working people. Its mandate is to protect the rights of workers and promote social and economic well-being. It has a tripartite structure with 56 members, 10 of which are designated by countries of greatest industrial import. The remaining 28 members represent employers and workers and are elected every three years. The Consejo of Adminstration is the executive body of the OIT, and it meets quarterly.

OIT's origins are interesting. It was formed on 11 April 1919, a month before the Russian Revolution. Its founding documents indicate that it was created to promote the rights of workers worldwide, and to atenuate their rights. They also serve as the protectors of capital interests and act to suppress any sort of class struggle. They have been around since then, and continue to do so today.

49 convenciones

The first of the 49 Convenciones is a basic tenet of the labor movement: unionize! However, the patronos were not so keen. They resisted the union, but ultimately agreed to preserve the union. Today, many labor unions have federated with ETA, with similar goals. However, there are some notable differences. These differences include the use of language in the Convenciones and the importance of the union's disciplinary structure.

During the tumultuous period of international crispation in the late 1940s and early 1950s, the pact for obrera was born. While some atrasados gobiernos seek to bring about a democratic direction in the nation, others prefer to dictate through dictum. The pact for obrera also reflects the ascent of the totalitarian forces in the latino-American movement.

Mexico

Unidad Obrera , is the name given to the pact that has been formed by the workers in a particular region. The union formed by workers in Mexico is also known as the Communist Party. The union has been a major ally in social struggles in Latin America, including Mexico. The pact has helped create a socialist society, with the goal of empowering the poorest people to achieve their full potential.

In 1934, the CSLA, or the Confederation of Socialist Labor in America, was formed to prepare for a meeting with obreras from all over Mexico. The CSLA had the responsibility of organizing the meeting, but their main purpose was to bring together the obreras and create a united front. It was a successful meeting, and the pact was signed on 14 January 1936. The obreras were pleased with the outcome and the CSLA ratified it.

El Colegio de Mexico

The academic year of El Colegio de Mexico - Unidad Obrera runs from September to May. The Colegio's library is named after historian Daniel Cosio Villegas, who played an important role in institutionalizing the Colegio. He served as president from 1978 to 1982. In addition to his leadership, Villegas was an active participant in the congreso Obrero Latinoamerican.

The Mexican Federal Government created the Colegio de Mexico in 1940. The National Autonomous University of Mexico and Bank of Mexico are its primary sponsors. The former institution was formerly known as the House of Spain, a political and intellectual colony founded by Mexican President Lazaro Cardenas in the late 1930s to shelter Spanish intellectuals and artists. In 1939, Mexico was the only country to welcome Spanish refugees.

Universidad de Colima

Universidad de Colima, Unité Obrera is located in the state of Colima in Mexico. Its web site features information on the university's activities, academic infrastructure, and educational offerings. Its staff recognizes social responsibility as a philosophy and lifestyle. It is committed to creating change in society and contributing to the construction of a more just society. It has a population of nearly 13,000 students and approximately 900 faculty and staff members.

The university's history is replete with political and labor struggles. In 1935, Vicente Lombardo Toledano toured Union Sovietica and Europe to meet with communist international leaders. He later met with Hernan Laborde to plan the formation of the CNUP in Mexico. Victor Villasenor and Vicente Lombardo Toledano collaborated to write Un viaje al mundo del futuro.
