Unidad Obrera Habitacional CTM
The Municipality of Tepeji del Rio de Ocampo contains Unidad Obrera Habitacional CTM, with a population of 1,158. The area is situated at an altitude of 2,208 meters. There are 31% of people with a secondary education and 40% of households have a personal computer. The overall economic development of the region is positive, as the country continues to improve and develop. In a recent survey, the unemployment rate is low, and the local economy is growing rapidly.

La primera conferencia regional del trabajo

The first conference of labor in America was held in Chile in January 1936. This conference brought together the delegates of the obrera in Latin America and was organized by the CSLA and FSI. The conference was the beginning of the confederation of trabajadors in Latin America. In the United States, the conference included delegate obreros from Colombia, Cuba, and Panama.

Vicente Lombardo Toledano

During the Mexican Revolution, Lombardo Toledano was a powerful and influential obrero figure. As a member of the Partido Popular, he helped consolidate the Mexican Revolution and criticized progressive government positions. Lombardo was also known for his brilliant political ideas and effective lucha strategies. His leadership extended far beyond Mexico's borders.

Fernando Garcia Oldini

Fernando Garcia Oldini is a chilean writer, periodist, diplomat, and politician. He was elected to the Asamblea Consultiva Constituyente in 1925 and served as Minister of Work in the second administration of Arturo Alessandri. He was the Minister of Relations Exterior between July and November 1952. A socialist, Garcia Oldini is the most prominent figure of the obrero movement.

Nicaragua

The PTN and the PRI merged in the 1930s to form the Partido Comunista de Costa Rica and the Partido Popular Nacional (PTN). These parties renamed themselves in the 1950s and merged with the Indice and then the Consejo Nacional. The PTN had become a major force in the country and was renamed the PTN after the assassination of Sandino.

El salvador

The General Water Law, passed in 2006, defines water as a human right and a public good. It mandates that public actors manage the water resources in the country. But in a country where water and sanitation are basic human needs, this law has not been implemented. However, activists have made strides to make the law a reality, calling for its ratification by the new congress. They also want to make sure that recently passed constitutional amendments, which define food and safe water as human rights, are ratified by the incoming congress.

Costa Rica

The pact for obrera is an international and continental phenomenon with a strong latinoamerican context. During a period of liberal questioning and international crisis, the pact for obrera represents an ascent of totalitarians. The pact's antecedents have been the struggles of Latin American workers for justice, equality, and freedom. However, in Costa Rica, the pact has been met with acclamation of democracy.

Panama

The Confederacion Obrera y la Campesina, or Confederation of Obrera y the Campesina, was established in 1946. It was affiliated with the Organizacion Regional Interamericana de Trabajadores. In 1948, the Panamanian government promulgated its first labor code, which drew inspiration from Mexico and Costa Rica, but did not explicitly support obrera. In 1956, the Confederation of Trabajadores (Confederation of Panama's Laborers) was established. In 1960, the first labor union was formed, in partnership with Nestle.
