After Making Hoax Bomb Threats against Schools, a Teenager was Taken to his Room.

A 19-year-old man has admitted to making bomb threats against thousands of schools, leading to the evacuation of more than 400 schools.

George Duke-Cohan, Watford, also sent mass emails to schools across the UK in the UK, claiming that pipe bombs were planted on their premises. He was being investigated.

Yesterday, he was convicted of making bomb threats against thousands of schools and a United Airlines flight from the UK to San Francisco.

He was detained in his bedroom at his family home in Watford.

After making hoax calls, George Duke-Cohan was taken into custody for the third and final time. He claimed that an aircraft was hijacked by gunmen.

The audio released today features George Duke-Cohan posing as a worried father whose daughter told him her flight was hijacked by gunmen one of whom has bombs.

He is heard complaining and feigning frustration at not receiving any updates on the hijacking.

The teenager, who is from Hertfordshire admitted guilt to three charges of hoax bomb threats.

Following threats made in March, hundreds of schools across the UK were evacuated. MINECRAFT Duke-Cohan was arrested a few days later.

However, while under investigation in April he claimed that bombs had been placed at both American and British schools.

The fake bomb threats were revealed at the time as part of an ongoing Minecraft gamer dispute.

Emails that threatened to send out threats were spoofed to appear as if they had been sent by a gaming network known as VeltPvP which is a Minecraft player-versus-player server.

Up to 24,000 emails were sent to schools across the UK including in the North East, London, Bristol and Humberside.

While on bail in connection with threats to schools, Duke-Cohan phoned San Francisco Airport and their police officers to report that an explosive was on board.

Hacker group the Apophis Squad claimed flight UAL 949 was grounded for their actions in a tweet on Twitter in August.

Duke-Cohan pretended to be a worried father when he called the airport, claiming his daughter was aboard the plane.

Staff were informed by him that his daughter had contacted him to report that gunmen had taken over the plane and that one had a bomb.

The bomb hoaxes of this year led to the evacuation of 400 schools in Uxbridge including Bishopsalt School.

Fairholme Primary School, Feltham, west London The school informed parents that they were closing earlier this year due to the threat.

Walsall College (pictured) was also evacuated as a result of the bomb hoaxes that occurred earlier this year.

After the bomb hoax that claimed to be a mass explosion Duke-Cohan was detained again at his Watford home (pictured).

When it landed in San Francisco the plane was detained by security personnel. The 295 passengers were then told to remain on board.

The investigation shut down the plane and disrupted other scheduled flights at the airport.
