The first pictures of Amazon's rumoured 3D handset have been revealed and showcase the four cameras used to create a 'floating screen' effect.

The phone, which is expected to be announced in June using retina-tracking technology, will make images on the screen of the smartphone appear to 'float' above it like a Hologram, and appear three-dimensional from all angles'.

The recent images also show a slim handset, although it is covered by a case that shields its true design.

Apple's patent system is a bit different from the 3D display Amazon is rumoured be working on. The first images of Amazon's 3D handset were released. They featured four cameras and retina tracking technology which is used to create the illusion of floating screens.

HOW IT WORKS

The device features a corner-facing camera at the front of the screen.

These extra cameras are used to track the position of the user's eyes and face in relation to the phone's display.

This allows Amazon's software to make continuous adjustments to the position of the elements on the screen, altering the perspective of images on the screen, making them appear in 3D without glasses.

'Finally, we have obtained exclusive images of a prototype of the unreleased device and are giving the world the first glimpse at Amazon's hotly anticipated phone, web site BGR said.

As can be seen in the images, the device is covered by a protective shell designed to prevent people without authorization from seeing the actual appearance of the phone.'

It is believed that it will feature a 4.7 inch screen.

To safeguard the final design of the handset, the case is placed inside. Bagauc The four cameras are clearly visible in each corner.

The handset resembles Nokia's Windows Phone with its large round shell, but it is believed that the round shape is just to disguise the final design
