Everything Announced At MINECON Earth

MINECON Earth is officially over. I'll be heading into hibernation in the near future, but before that, I've compiled a summary of all the information we discussed at MINECON Earth.



Don't be worried if you didn't catch the livestream! We'll have the entire show on the site shortly, and I'll update this article as soon as we can.





The Update Aquatic

Minecraft's oceans will receive the biggest update they've ever had!

The Update Aquatic

The game introduces many new features into the game, including coral, kelp and other types of dolphins, fish explorable shipwrecks that can be explored, new water physics and much more! The Update Aquatic will introduce the trident, a new weapon that can be used to defend yourself against the sea with a completely new environment. The weapon can be used to attack enemies.

In close-combat, it can also be used to superior tactical advantages. It can also be transformed to gain tactical advantages.

Loyalty

The enchantment can bring it back to you, even after you've thrown itaway, while enchantments such as

Impaler

and

Slipstream Dash

We'll let your imagination run wild!

The Update Aquatic

will come to Minecraft in a future update.

NEW MINECRAFT SERVER

Introducing our latest server partner, The Hive! They're bringing their excellent mini-game,

Death Run

It will be coming to Minecraft in the coming year. In Death Run, players race through a map and must overcome obstacles, avoid traps and proving their parkour prowess to be the first to finish! Get started practicing your running skills today to be ready, as Death Run on The Hive will be coming to Minecraft very soon.





NINTENDO SWITCH AND SUPER DUPER GRAPHICS

We also want to inform you of the Super Duper Graphics pack. Although it was originally scheduled to be released in 2017, there is still a lot of work to be done and we'll not be ready to launch it until 2017. We'll be the first to release Super Duper next year, and we'll have more details to share on Minecraft.net in the near future.



Separately the Nintendo Switch community will still receive the latest version of Minecraft with cross-platform multiplayer, but only until the year 2018. Nintendo has been a fantastic partner, and we're looking forward to bringing Switch gamers into the fold, however we must ensure that we provide the best possible experience. So the new version of Minecraft will now be coming to Nintendo Switch next year. Xbox One, PC, mobile and Nintendo Switch, all playing multiplayer Minecraft together in 2018 - I'm crying just thinking about it...

We have a winner! Congratulations to Mob B you'll be added to Minecraft! We are grateful to everyone who voted. It was amazing that our players were capable of participating in the games!
