Microsoft's Minecraft Migration Meets A Mixed Response

Minecraft's account transfer to Microsoft is currently in progress, but some players aren't happy with. Mojang claims that the change will improve security and give more security features. However, some accounts have been blocked. This is a mandatory move.



First announced in the last month, the change is primarily security-focused. For example, you can utilize two-factor authentication when you make the swap. As of March 10, though you'll have to move your account to continue playing Minecraft, and that's been a source of a bit of anger with certain players.



Minecraft content creator Docm77 declares the account migration the "biggest mistake in the history of Minecraft" on Twitter. Reason being "If you have multiple accounts you're forced to create a Microsoft account for each". It is believed that this issue can result in getting your Microsoft account locked due to some terms-of-service stipulations. While this isn't a problem that every Minecraft enjoyer is going to encounter, it can be an issue for content creators as well as those who just like playing around with the game as they may require additional Microsoft accounts.
