With Microsoft's billions of dollars behind it, Minecraft's momentum is not slowing. The game now supports VR and has lets players fine-tune their worlds with Add-Ons, the movie has an expected release date (although it's in 2019) and in the near future, it's set to have its own official novel. Mojang has confirmed that the new book called Minecraft: The Island, is being written by none other than Max Brooks, the scribe behind the apocalyptic zombie novel World War Z.
"Think cuboid Robinson Crusoe, but madder she is a hero who is stranded in a foreign country with a new set of rules, trying to survive against adversity odds," says Mojang's Marsh Davies. "I have a peek at the draft early and it is absolutely amazing, just like we knew it would."
It's not clear when the book will be published or if it will be linked to the film, however it is likely that it will be the first in a series of. Publishing house Del Rey, a science fiction spin-off from Penguin Random House, is responsible for the entire process. The company already commented that it was "fortunate" to have someone with Max's exceptional talent and passion onboard for the series' launch.
Parents will likely be accountable for more money However, some users will be happy that Minecraft is expanding its reach into education. Minecraft: Education Edition will be available for teachers from on November 1st. International The publication of the novel will only increase children's love of reading.
