What are the top Minecraft cities to live in? Minecraft is full of jaw dropping builds, it's one of the best building games there is and it appears that its community's creativity knows no boundaries. Many Minecraft cities are appearing, and are available to anyone to download and explore.
Creators have brought their favorite shows games, films, and games to life with amazing Minecraft creations, including a Minecraft Hogwarts map, The Titanic, and even an reimagining of Lord of the Rings' Middle-earth. It's no surprise that Minecraft now allows you to explore some of the most famous pop-culture cities, like Gotham or King's Landing.
We've explored a lot of Minecraft cities and these are the most popular. They all come with directions and vary from small-scale urban life to interwoven nature.
These are the top Minecraft cities:
Mattupolis
Greenfield
King's Landing
Novigrad
Sayama City
Mattupolis
Mattupolis is a constantly increasing stream of skyscrapers and intricately designed streets. Creator Matias takes inspiration from Seattle and Vancouver, with his desire to connect the natural and urban landscapes. Mattupolis is a place of high-rise buildings as well as distinct districts and landmarks you can look at such as the Seattle Space Needle.
Greenfield
Greenfield by The Jestr, one of the largest and most expansive cities in Minecraft. You can spend hours wandering through the various areas that range from the financial district to a port full of containers. Greenfield is a city with amazing detail, with the city's cramped homes and a skyline filled with cranes and a maze filled with trains.
King's Landing
This King's Landing map from WesterosCraft can be used to recreate the city that hosts Game of Thrones. It includes all the landmarks you'd expect from The Great Sept of Baelor to The Red Keep. It is now possible to walk the streets of King's Landing with none of the bloodshed and violence that the series is known for.
Novigrad
This Novigrad-inspired town from ElysiumFire may not be the sleek urban sprawl of the other Minecraft cities in this list but with its striking architecture, narrow alleyways and red-roofed medieval buildings, it's still a stunning view to see in a blocky vision. Novigrad is a homage to The Witcher 3, although not an exact replica, it does convey the vivacity and medieval feel of this extended fishing village, complete with the port and cathedral.
Sayama City
This modern japanese city has been under construction for years and has been the most widely discussed Minecraft city due to its awe-inspiring attention to detail. When the first images were released of Sayama City by SayamaCityProject, we were astounded by it's realism and how well it captures the aesthetic of Japanese cities, which are influenced by places like Tokyo and Osaka.
We will continue to explore Minecraft cities, and keep you updated with the best ones. OCCITIES You can also look at other impressive Minecraft builds as well as some of the most beautiful maps in Minecraft if you're looking for some tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of cities.
