Minecraft has seen its fair share of recreations. There are many blocky takes on media, whether it's a YouTuber developing a new twist on Tetris or a fan making their own Dark Souls game. It's only natural then, to be aware that there's a whole host of people making Lord of the Rings-inspired Minecraft models.
The majority of the projects we write about are huge in scale and intricate, however this one by DesignMinion is all small details. DesignMinion posted a video on Reddit of a door they'd designed, which is stunning rendition of the magical door that leads to the Mines of Moria. Some are skeptical that it leads to a mine, while others are fairly certain it's a tomb. All we know for sure is that this is an impressive door.
It's almost like you're browsing through an IKEA catalog, and looking at it. "The line art is white concrete blocks. Iqbalir Stone deepslate, cyan, and terracotta were used to create the stone texture. The stone's'staircases' that ascend towards the south, makes the stone slightly brighter.
DesignMinion created an image in Photoshop and then copying the original Tolkien artwork and then transforming it into four maps.

Another amazing detail is The Watcher. He is a tiny squid dude here However, he's a terrifying Hobbit-eating Kraken elsewhere. The glowing effect is the result of the shader DesignMinion uses called Sildur's Vibrant Shaders v1.32 Medium. It's not a big deal but it's an interesting reference to the Lord of the Rings that fans will appreciate.
