How difficult would it be to set up a small camping area of a role-playing type?

Ok so, some context. Me and a friend have a yearly thing every summer where we prepare a server and host an event for our friends on it. Every year it gets more complex and advanced, and we have tons of fun making it, and seeing people's reaction to it. The last two years have been focused on PVP but we want to change the formula. This year we want to go all out, we were thinking about a more streamlined approach, instead of having a PVP event, we would love to host the server has some kind of roleplaying event, with areas, trials, all the good stuff. We really don't want any mods, just plugins, my main concerns were things like : Syncing music to a discord bot, having plugins to setup trials and success conditions, having potential bosses or custom enemies. How doable is all of this in 8-10 months? Are there any plugins that could help setting up stuff like this? Thanks! I'm looking to improve my coding and server ownership. What are your top suggestions for running a server that's great? (And coding if you are a programmer, why don't you?

Ive been running a server now for about a month, and while i've had some run ins with stuff like this never have i gotten into it and desired it as much as i do now. i want to run this stuff well but i often run into so many blocks which i know i could fix easily if i knew the tool. szv7.com (same goes for coding, sentence could be changed to coding , add a month, and call it a day)



So, what are your best practices, tricks, Simple things that can be easily looked, and things that MASSIVELY made your life better, saved your time, or created an awesome environment? These are only general suggestions. If you find something that isn't quite right, but it is still useful Please let us know!

(i run a modded server running my own mod pack, to give context)



I'm still learning advanced techniques, like mods to reduce the lag and dealing with the high stress environment caused by massive mods. Logging logs to identify mistakes and fix them. How do I determine which mods clash, or interact in odd ways?



It's a mix of random bs questions. I don't care what you choose to answer, i want to take my time and learn as much as I can. Thanks for the help!





















Plugin to assist with the problem of chainkills

Hi all admins of all other servers, im launching another edition of my small server for friends (or rather friends + who my friends invite +who the friends of my friends invite+⅓will be random people that noone knows who found our discord on disboard ) and so as of this time i plan or expanding the server by promoting it so that more strangers join



So, problems arise. I would like to keep the smp server style, but i see it becoming harder and more difficult as more players join. Or, if a player has too many kills in the time limit, they get 15 minutes of tempban/freeze. Is there a plugin or way to add one of these functions? Is it possible to make a commandblock that can do this? (Will this work? Scoreboard that tracks kills. It resets every seven minutes. A command block that blocks players when they score more than three kills. From 3 to 5 kills, you will be weak or slowness, from 6 and 7 , you'll be rewarded with weakness and slowness 2, and 8 kills grants you the ability to teleport into the cage. (The final part of this is done by using command blocks.

My friends are experiencing problems with performance on my home server. Their clients are far from the server, their interactions with the world take a very long time (tens of seconds) as like they are lagging. They see myself move smoothly however, they only see me move for a long time after I've moved.



The server's TPS is good and I have no problems playing with my LAN IP. Their connection to my IP is fine. The only sign that something isn't right is the low connection bar when they play. And sometimes there's nothing wrong.



If it's relevant it's not an issue on a lightly modded Fabric server. It was occurring, so it appears that this is wrong.



I would appreciate any assistance to solve this issue. I am able to provide more details if needed.
