Minecraft Gets Twitch-y with the new Partnership For Integrated Streaming

Twitch and Mojang have joined forces to provide an integrated streaming experience for the indie game Minecraft the two companies announced at MineCon today. According to the press release the players playing on PC and Mac will soon be in a position to stream their games to their Twitch.tv channels.



Matthew DiPietro, vice president of marketing at Twitch stated in the same press release that Minecraft has "struck an extremely powerful chord" with Twitch users. The popularity of Minecraft is growing and shows that people enjoy watching video games, even if they're not among the most popular games for eSports. Expect a momentous moment for both spectators and players once the ability to easily broadcast live gameplay directly to Twitch begins live."



This announcement is only for Mac and PC users. However, it's important to know that the Xbox One will get its own Minecraft version and Twitch will be integrated into Microsoft's next generation of consoles. Twitch Announces Minecraft Partnership at MINECON 2013



Mojang's Minecraft PC and MAC users will soon be able broadcast their games on Twitch by pressing a button



SAN FRANCISCO2nd November 2013- Twitch, the world's leading video platform and community for gamers, today announced at the sold-out MineCon convention an alliance with Mojang to bring broadcasting capability to Minecraft. The integration of Twitch into the PC and MAC versions of the game that is the most popular enables gamers to easily broadcast directly to their Twitch channels.
