This older version of the real time strategy classic is still very interesting, despite its outdated graphics and limited advanced features. Warcraft II allows you to play either as a human or an orc and each race is given its own strengths and abilities. The objectives are simple: build bases for your peasants and collect lumber and gold, and keep the enemy at bay. SERVER LIST The gameplay is easy and the graphics, although not top-of-the-line (this version was released in 1996) but aren't so basic as to detract from the game. The absence of modern features (that appear to be significant enhancements in Age of Empires and Warcraft III) can make Warcraft II less appealing. For instance you aren't able to make build orders in a queue or assign group numbers to specific units. The demo worked well on Windows XP as well as older versions of Windows. If you consider yourself an avid Warcraft II junkie and are looking for a simple and nostalgic test This demo is worth downloading.
