Play is at the heart of everything we do, but safety comes first. It's true, even before playing. To accomplish this, Mojang Studios enlist the help of moderators who strive to keep Minecraft's welcoming environment.
This is work we've been doing for many years, but we've recently added new moderation actions to the Bedrock version of Minecraft which we'll be rolling out in the months to come. These tools are designed to help ensure that our players are as safe as possible within Minecraft and Realms on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Windows 10, iOS, and Android.
So, what's new? Minecraft moderators may disqualify players who do not follow our Community Guidelines when sending online messages using our services (Realms) or Featured Servers, or when communicating online using signposts or books. The content of single-player games are not monitored.
Moderators currently can issue permanent bans that extend to all versions of Minecraft (except Minecraft Dungeons) in order to target the most severe offenses, meant to cause harm to others. We are also working on introducing temporary bans for lesser offenses.
A message will be sent out to users when they are banned. It will also provide details about how they can cancel their Realms subscription. For more information regarding the severity of offenses and guidelines on what to do if you are banned, please visit the Minecraft Help Center.
