About Minecraft
Minecraft is a sandbox-based indie video game written in Java originally developed by Markus "Notch" Persson, and later by his company Mojang AB. It is heavily influenced by Infiniminer.
Minecraft focuses on allowing the player to explore, interact with, and modify a dynamically-generated map made of one-cubic-meter-sized blocks. The environment is comprised of blocks as well as mobs and plants as well as other items. Some activities in the game include mining for ore, fighting hostile mobs and creating new tools and blocks by securing various resources found in the game.
Open-ended game mechanics allow players to build structures, creations and artwork on a variety of multiplayer servers or create their own single-player maps. Redstone circuits are used for remote actions and logic computations, minecarts, tracks, and an enigmatic underground world called the Nether. The ultimate objective of the game, that is completely up to you is to explore another dimension known as "The End" and defeat the Ender dragon.
