How to Create an Iron Golem in Minecraft and what they're used for

Create a Minecraft Iron Golem to defend the village and its inhabitants from threats. These imposing guards can defend the buildings and villagers against hostile creatures in Minecraft (opens new tab) like zombies or skeletons, as well as raids by villagers. Contrary to the majority of mob in Minecraft, Iron Golems can actually be crafted but do also naturally appear in villages. If you've come across a village that isn't protected by security measure in the form of an Minecraft Iron Golem, here's what you must know about creating them and how they function.

How to make an Iron Golem from Minecraft

To create a Minecraft Iron Golem, you do not require a Crafting Table as you would to make most things in the game. Instead, you will need to place blocks in a particular formation.

The components you require to make an Iron Golem are four Iron Blocks (each one is made up of nine Iron Ingots placed on a Crafting Table), and one Pumpkin - in Java Edition, it must be a Carved Pumpkin or a Jack O'Lantern, but in Bedrock Edition, it can also be a regular pumpkin. Extremecraft.de To make it look like an iron scarecrow put the Iron Blocks in an X shape, and then add the Pumpkin in the middle. Take a look at the image above!

As long as there are no connecting blocks on either side (other the floor it standing on, of course), placing the Pumpkin last will trigger an Iron Golem to spawn. As long as you have the materials you'll be able to repeat this for as many times as you like to create your own personal army.

What Iron Golems do in Minecraft

You can better secure yourself with Minecraft Netherite armor

Iron Golems are solemnly sworn by God to protect villagers and players as long as you don't harm them. They're classed as neutral mobs. Unlike animals like pigs, cows and the like iron Golems will leave you be but will attack you if you attempt to attack them.

An Iron Golem will slowly roam the village, scouting it once it's established within a village. If it's not in a village , it will make its way to the nearest one, fighting any hostile mobs along it route. If an Iron Golem takes damage, the player can heal it using an Iron Ingot on it.

Iron Golems can be a great option if you have enough Iron and an entire village to protect. You can't name them as you can with normal pets, unfortunately. You may want to learn how to control the fox in Minecraft If you'd like to have a pet.

Give me a game and I'll write every "how to" I can think of or even die trying. If I'm not writing guides for a game I'm racing around the track in F1, throwing balls in Pokemon Go, pretending I know what I'm doing in Football Manager and clicking on heads in Valorant.
