An Invisible Wall Overlays the World

The first version, launched on December 2, 2009, was more limited than any other edition of Minecraft ever released to the public, which included the pre-classic version accessible via the Minecraft Launcher. The controls were altered and additional blocks were added to the game. [2]

In November 2014, the primary page hosting the game was deleted. PUBGQA.SHOP Its archive can still be accessable via the Wayback Machine. The executable is also accessible on the Internet Archive.

On December 2, 2012 Notch released a JavaScript version of Minecraft 4k. It isn't possible to move or look around in this version, however the camera or the world can move by itself and there's a blue water-like block in addition to the other block types. [3]

1 Gameplay 1.1 General, 1.2 World, 1.3 Controls

Gameplay[]

General[]

The player is able to place and take out blocks. The only block the player can put in is grass, which is reminiscent of the very early versions of Minecraft internally known as RubyDung which are available through the Minecraft Launcher. Leaves do not decay.

World[]

The same 64x64x63 block world is created every time the game is loaded. The only blocks in the game are air, grass block, dirt bricks, stone wood, leaves, and air are scattered across the globe. No mobs exist.

The first version of the game has one type of block, which makes use of an XOR Fractal as texture.

A wall that is invisible surrounds the world, preventing the player from escaping as in invisible bedrock or an older world.

Controls[]

The player can move with the standard WASD controls as well as jumping with Space.

Controls for left- and right-clicks are reversed from traditional Minecraft controls. Left-click puts blocks and right-click destroys them. Middle-click places blocks too enough. The camera is "smoothly" turned on by moving the mouse, similar to pressing F8 in Java Edition. This version is not able to be altered.

The camera functions differently from Minecraft's. The camera only moves when the cursor is moved far enough away from the center of Minecraft's viewport. Blocks in the world are chosen by the cursor, rather than the center of the screen.

The game does not have any kind of options menu or HUD.

Graphics[]

Since the game renders at a low resolution, the graphics appear pixelated. Even when running at a higher resolution the game doesn't scale the resolution correctly and the appearance of noise is maintained. Block textures are like those used in Classic, as Classic 0.30 (Creative) was the most current version of Minecraft at the time. The majority of blocks are louder than their Minecraft counterparts, but some blocks, especially stone, appear different. The sky is black due to the absence of skyboxes.

When hovering the cursor over an object, the outline of the block is thick and white, in contrast to Minecraft's thin gray outline of block selection.

Blocks[]

The original game featured only one non-air block.

The second version stores block IDs in four bits. This gives 16 possible IDs. They are usually filled in with slightly different textures of dirt.
