Fresh from the warp pipe and it's Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition! It's expected to be available on the shiny new handheld-and-home console today, and will first roll out on the Nintendo eShop in North America, before following in Europe and Japan tomorrow.
Nintendo Switch Edition comes with exciting features from other console versions of Minecraft which includes our amazing multiplayer mini games, Battle and Tumble. This version is for the multi-faceted Switch. It lets you play online with your friends for eight-player action and eight-player local play (if everyone has a Switch) or four players sitting on a couch to play splitscreen before the TV. Some other blighted family member watching the TV? You can play tabletop mode by pulling off the kickstand on the Switch. You can also play splitscreen with four players by using the Joy-Cons or Pro Controller.
After you're done, click the kickstand and take your creations with you wherever you go. Play on the bus! Play in bed! Try it by backflipping off the top of the Goomba to gracefully slide across the entire length of a flag pole! https://strongcraft.org/ (Not advised.) It'll play at a smooth 60fps and 720p resolution across all modes and play types, regardless of whether you're playing on your TV or handheld mode.
