In the Beginning, we'll Start with the Basics

We love summer. The warm weather, fun activities and long lazy days of lounging at the beach or at the pool - what's not to like? But, there's no doubt that the plans for this year's summer may be a little different which is why today we're bringing the outside insideto make fun and exciting pools for your Minecraft world.

We are determined to make these pools more than a pool. Why settle for a standard build when you can make the Picasso of pools! We'll get you diving into these stunning creations in no matter how you want to go!



First, we'll start with the basics. You will need to create a pool. Here are some tips if you have never created one before or are looking to refresh your memory.



Get all of your supplies. It doesn't matter what materials you pick or the shape you create for your pool, all you need is the buckets you will fill with water. - Use blocks to draw your outline. - Dig out the inside of the pool to complete your outline. Two blocks should be enough. Fill the base with basic materials. Or skip ahead to find out how you can make a bigger splash with your new structure. Fill the pool with water buckets or let your friends fill the pool.



Gather your friends together to cook a meal or an outdoor buffet, and then you'll be at the top of the charts with praises and comments!



Now that we have learned the basics of pool construction, let's start thinking about ways to enhance the pool and include some art in it! You can either create an entirely new pool now that you know how do this, or you can replace the bottom of the pool you've just constructed with modern art. You've probably already picked your favorite from the many blocks we've shown you through Build With It over the recent months. For your first pool, you'll need to start with something that isn't too complicated. A good place to start would be to take a few of your favorite colors, find materials that match and then put them all together on the bottom of your pool. You can also build your pools in different, unexpected shapes. You can even create the fruit-shaped pool, such as the one in our picture!
